I've noticed a few new faces around here, so I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself.
I'm Becky. I'm a newborn, maternity, and little years photographer based in the Lancaster area. I've been doing this for over 15 years, starting with weddings and eventually finding my way to families, which is where I've always belonged. Over that time I've photographed so many families, newborns, and expecting mothers, and I've built my entire approach around one thing: making photographs that still matter decades from now, and not just your latest social media post.
My sessions are baby led and naturally posed. I work with soft, timeless colors and let things unfold at whatever pace the baby needs. Flowers find their way into my work often, and as an avid gardener I love when they do.
Kids don't scare me either, with two wild boys of my own. The wiggly ones, the shy ones, the ones who want nothing to do with the camera, I genuinely enjoy all of them. I understand how little kids' brains work and how to meet them where they are, so a hard session doesn't rattle me. It just means we're paying closer attention.
I also believe photographs should live somewhere you can actually see them. Not in a folder on your phone, not in a digital gallery you open once. On your walls, in an album, somewhere that reminds you who you were in this season. We live in an age where everything feels temporary and replaceable. Your family isn't, and neither are these years. That's why I offer framing and albums alongside every session, because the work doesn't stop when the camera does.
I'm South Jersey born and found my way to Lancaster as a young adult. I got married at 22, which some people raise an eyebrow at, but it has been the best choice I've ever made. There's something really good about growing up alongside your best friend. We're in our 30s now with two boys, 10 and 7, and I love the life we've built here. My faith is central to who I am and shapes everything, including my work.
Lancaster suits me. I garden, I'm outside as much as I can be, and this place has felt like home from the beginning.
Glad you're here.
