This week I had the pleasure of photographing the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Broward Walk Kickoff Pink Party. It was held at War Memorial Auditorium, a venue I haven't actually been in before. It was beautifully decorated for this pink party! Seacoast Bank was a major sponsor for the evening and they brought fun decor and a huge team from their bank. Over 300 attendees showed up to kick of the walk season. It was awesome!
Guests enjoyed a cocktail party, photo ops, an inspiring story from a survivor, a best-dressed contest, and they gave away their WWF inspired belt to last year's Men Wear Pink top fundraiser. This year's walk is estimated to be about 30,000 people!!! OMG! I'm super excited to be the official photographer for this HUGE event for the 2nd year! This fantastic event will give you the chance to network with all the major departments from Palm Beach county who hire businesses for projects. I have the honor of working with a lot of great nonprofits throughout South Florida. It brings me so much joy to work so many great organizations who are helping people all across Florida. There are so many meaningful events that you can attend!

If you want to meet new people, get volunteer hours, help to make real change for an organization, use your talents for good, and have fun...I am happy to help you get plugged in! If you're new to south Florida, in a new career role, or you're a young person who is new to the business world, supporting nonprofits can be an excellent way to get your name out there and network!

I've worked with some nonprofits for many years and they have some great annual events. As a bonus, if you attend these, you'll get some beautiful photos too, since I'm the official photographer! You know what I really want to do?
1. Just take photos
2. Have happy clients
3. Enjoy life

You know what I really hate doing?
1. Spending years honing my craft, developing clientele, and growing my business only to have other people try to cash in on it.
2. Paying a lot of money and spending a lot of time to trademark Coastal Click only to have a bunch of people try to use the name illegally.
3. Sending professional and legal cease and desist letters only to be met with resistance, anger, and excuses.
4. Having to follow up multiple times because people ignore the messages, have no legitimate address, and don't care about other people's time and efforts.
5. Wasting hours of time chasing people down because they don't do the right thing.

Businesses all over the US trademark their businesses and it's important to do your due diligence and follow trademark rules. It doesn't matter how big or small the business is. For small-business owners, trademark protection can:

✨ Establish clear ownership of your brand
✨ Help prevent customer confusion
✨ Protect your professional reputation
✨ Add long-term value to your business
✨ Give you stronger legal options if someone copies or misuses your name

Building a recognizable brand takes years of dedication. Protecting it isn’t just paperwork—it’s an investment in your business and its future.

I'm not being rude or mean when I'm sending messages to these businesses, so it's quite shocking to be met with so much resistance. Just stop using my name! Coastal Click is MINE!

As event season ramps up here in Palm Beach, now is the time to get a new business portrait. If you are a leader in the community, please stop using a photo you took in your car and ran through AI. 🤣

A local awards ceremony just announced its nominees, and I'm horrified at some of the headshots that people sent in. Ladies, call me! I promise you that I will make you look and feel absolutely fabulous! Every detail matters to me. We can do a mix of photos inside with a backdrop or outside with a beautiful natural setting so you have a variety of photos to use for different things. You deserve to look and feel beautiful!

You know you need a new photo! It could be for a committee you joined, an award you are nominated for or won, a promotion you got, or an article you wrote. It could be for your website, your LinkedIn, your social media, your name badge at work, or your dating profile! The needs are endless. Just do it already!

Yes, I know you love that photo you took 20 years ago when you were 20lbs lighter and the laugh lines were not as prominent...but also you don't look like that anymore. Sorry to be harsh, but sometimes the truth need to be a little harsh.
As a woman in my 50's I GET IT! But by putting in a little effort and letting a pro like me work my magic, you will be amazed at the result! I know all the posing tips and I have all kinds of cool retouching software. You're in great hands with me!

Let's schedule something now before season gets you running around like an exhausted pigeon. Call me, text me, send me an email.....but do it now!

Did you know today is National waffle day? Yup, it's a thing LOL.
If you love waffles, you have to check out Berry Fresh Cafe Palm Beach. They have multiple locations in South Florida, and they are all GREAT! Plus they are family owned!

A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of photographing a special tasting event where Yelp Elite participants sampled a wonderful variety of Berry Fresh Cafe favorites—and then shared their experiences online.

From colorful, fresh dishes to indulgent bites, everything looked just as incredible as it tasted! With farm to table ingredients, their own collection of homemade sauces and jellies, and a delicious selection of mimosas....you will not leave hungry!

Events like this are always so much fun to capture: great food, genuine reactions and plenty of share-worthy moments. Definitely check out their waffles! Mmmmmm!

A little business PSA from Coastal Click Photography 📸🌴

I’ve spent years building Coastal Click Photography—my name, my reputation, my relationships with clients, and the brand that represents my work.

Unfortunately, it has recently come to my attention that another photographer is using my trademarked business name in connection with their photography business.

While imitation may sometimes be flattering, using another business’s protected name is not. My business name represents years of hard work, thousands of photographs, countless events, and the trust my clients have placed in me.

I have formally requested that the unauthorized use of the Coastal Click Photography name stop immediately.

I’m sharing this because small business owners put an enormous amount of time, money, creativity, and heart into building their brands. A business name isn’t just a name—it represents the reputation we work hard to earn.

Yesterday was National Nonprofit Day, an annual observance honoring the impact of charitable organizations, volunteers, and donors marking the anniversary of the Tariff Act of 1894 which first provided federal income tax exemptions to charitable institutions.

The nonprofit sector in the United States employs approximately 12.5 to 12.8 million people. This makes it the third-largest employer among all major U.S. industrial sectors, accounting for roughly 9% to 10% of the entire American workforce.

Here in Palm Beach County, we have a huge nonprofit sector. There are more than 6,000 registered nonprofit organizations, which include local charities, private foundations, educational funds, and community health organizations.

Since opening my photography business in 2011 I have photographed over 1,000 events for nonprofit organizations. I've photographed so many great events - galas, golf tournaments, luncheons, clay shoots, 5k races, speaker series events, pickleball tournaments, fashion shows, and so much more. These fantastic events allow nonprofits to raise much-needed funds to help fulfill their missions.

As our "season" gets underway here, please stay tuned for some of my favorite nonprofit events. I'll be sharing more about the clients I serve and their fun events! These events are a great way to get involved in the community. You can meet new people, give back to charities in need, and have fun too!
