I recently picked up the Sony 85mm f1.8 for portrait work but I wanted to see if I could get some good street photos with it. It was definitely a challenge switching from my usual 50mm to the 85. Not going to lie, I made a lot of blah photos but I got six that I’m really happy with.

We decided to get out of the house today so we headed down to in Lake Worth, FL. This is one of our favorite outdoor markets in South Florida to shop. Not only are they a produce market, but they have a nursery as well. It’s always a good feeling when you know you’re supporting local businesses and local farmers.

I wasn’t sure about taking the Sony a7 around with me so I shot these with the iPhone 12 instead. I’d love to be able to photograph the market professionally.

I recently had the pleasure of photographing Alex Ortiz and his tattoo shop, Bigga Mass Tattoo located in West Palm Beach. This was one of the most fun shoots I’ve done so far. His shop is full of character and vibrant color, much like his tattoos.

Shooting story driven projects for small businesses is something that I really enjoy doing. I guess you could call it editorial, I don't know a better name for it, but I wanted to share some work I did a while back. This was a shoot I did for what used to be All City Barber Shop in West Palm Beach, FL. Lex, the owner, is one of the coolest and most talented barbers I've met. His shop had this really cool antique design and I wanted to bring that astethic to the photos. I hope you enjoy. Here’s a few edits from my photography stream on Twitch last night (Twitch.tv/jimbolewis). These are some decent cityscapes keeping with the orange and teal theme.

I shot these last Friday with the Sony 50mm F2.5 G lens on my original Sony a7.
