But you can’t see her eyes!
Yeah, I know. I did that on purpose.
Placing the light in such a way that the shadow was cast over her eyes adds mystery and pushes your focus to her smile.

I need more moody clouds to get the vibe I was really looking for with this shot.

Guess that just means another trip to the UP when there is a Lake Michigan storm brewing! 😁

Scanning through the old folders really does help to shift my eye into B&W mode, seeing the color and light, but visualizing in B&W is helping me see new compositions and scenes in B&W.

The quiet of the forest is only broken by the power of the falls.

Second only to seeing the falls is that moment when you just hear them... Almost imperceptible at first and then grows with each passing step.

It brings on a sense of peace mixed with chaos that puts me at ease.
