We learned a lot of lessons with the first version of the Camera Sling that led to improvements in the v2. One of those improvements comes in a new Black coated Nylon fabric our most technically and weather resistant fabric to date.

Last week we dropped the Rambler Camera Strap v2 with our friend . Truly this leather is one of those ones you need to feel for yourself to fully appreciate. The typical top grain of the leather which is finished on most leathers is left undyed, while the back flesh side, usually rough and suede like is dyed black and waxed finished. What you are left with is an unbelievable feel on the neck. Genuinely this is one of my favorite leathers we’ve ever had.

Meet the Rambler v2 in Horween Waxed Reverse Black Chromexcel.

A while back, we teamed up with our friend on our first roughout Rambler strap. It was a different take on what we usually make. We flipped the leather, so the rough, unfinished flesh side faced out instead of the top grain. People loved it. So earlier this year, we went back to the drawing board with Cam and asked how we could bring it back, better.

This new leather takes everything Horween’s iconic Chromexcel is known for, then does something unexpected. The top grain stays smooth and unfinished. The flesh side gets dyed black and wax finished. The result: two beautifully smooth sides, a pop of contrast, and one of the most rugged straps we’ve ever made.
