💍 TIPS ON: How to be a great wedding party.
Being asked to stand beside someone on their wedding day is a pretty big deal. And while the dress, suit, bouquet, and photos are all part of it, your biggest job is simply to be there for the couple.
✨ Be their calm.
Wedding days can get overwhelming. If something goes wrong, don’t add to the stress. Help find a solution, keep them laughing, and remind them that the little things won’t matter at the end of the day.
📱 Be available.
Answer the group chat. Read the emails. Know where you’re supposed to be and when. Your couple shouldn’t have to track you down on their wedding day.
🫶 Help without waiting to be asked.
Need the dress carried? Bouquet held? Someone needs a snack? The bride’s veil is caught? The groom forgot his cufflinks? Jump in.
🥂 Know your limits.
Have fun, celebrate, dance, and enjoy yourself—but remember that you’re there to support the couple. Nobody wants to spend their wedding night babysitting a wedding party member.
📸 Read the timeline.
The couple and their vendors have strategized the organization of their day for months. Know where you need to be and when. No one wants to go searching for a wedding party member or pause key events because someone is missing.
💬 Keep the drama away from the couple.
Family disagreements, bridal party tension, last-minute complaints… handle it among yourselves whenever possible. The couple has enough going on.
❤️ Make the day about THEM.
It’s easy to get caught up in how you look, where you’re sitting, what you’re wearing, or how the day is going. But at the end of the day, you’re there because you love these people.
And honestly? The best wedding party members aren’t the ones who do everything perfectly. They’re the ones who make the couple feel loved, supported, celebrated, and cared for from start to finish 🤍 Be the person they’re grateful was standing beside them when they look back at their wedding photos 20 years from now. ✨
