A day late, but these views were way too good not to share.
After Aedden surprised Amy with the sweetest proposal at Greenbrier, we headed up to the overlook in Gatlinburg just in time for sunset. And wow… the Smokies really showed off for us.
The mountains, the light, the sunset, and these two celebrating such a huge moment together made for the perfect ending to their evening.
I’m pretty sure I could photograph this view a hundred times and never get tired of it.
Congratulations again, Aedden and Amy! I’m so excited for everything ahead for you two.

I’ve been talking with Aedden for months about how he wanted to propose to Amy, and obviously, he wanted it to be perfect.
He wanted somewhere beautiful, but more importantly, somewhere that felt private and wouldn’t be crowded. Greenbrier was the perfect choice. I took videos of the area for him, showed him exactly where I would be and where I thought would be the perfect spot to pop the question.
And then the moment finally came.
She said YES! And I truly believe she had absolutely no idea it was coming. The look on her face and how excited she was made the whole thing even better.
After the proposal, we headed up to the overlook in Gatlinburg for some sunset photos, and let me tell you… those are going to be GOOD. I’ll be sharing those tomorrow.
So excited for these two and so honored I got to be part of such a special moment.

I haven’t gotten to photograph at this Gatlinburg overlook as often as I’d like, but I really, really love this spot!
It’s such a beautiful option for a two spot session, especially if you’re wanting those big mountain views! And if you’re planning to visit Greenbrier or Elkmont during your Smokies trip, this can be such a fun addition to your session.
There’s something about these views that just screams “Smoky Mountain session” and I am HERE FOR IT.

Family, sunrise, and a whole lot of personality 🤍
I loved this morning with this sweet family. The light, the mountains, the laughs, all of it.
But that little girl… 🥹 She had the sass, the sweetest little smile, and her new Strawberry Shortcake purse that she was VERY excited to show off. And of course, we had to get a photo with it.
Those little personalities are my favorite part of family sessions. The silly, the sweet, the real moments. So glad I got to capture these.

Happy 4th of July! ❤️🤍💙
I snapped this photo yesterday of these two little cuties in their festive Fourth of July outfits, and I couldn’t love it more.
One of my favorite parts of this job is watching families come back year after year. Getting to see how much the kids have grown, hear what’s new in their lives, and capture another chapter of their story is such a privilege. Thank you to every family who trusts me with your memories—it truly means the world.
Wishing everyone a safe, fun, and happy Independence Day! 🇺🇸✨

I hadn’t been to Metcalf Bottoms in years, and this was my first time photographing a session there. Even with a cloudy morning, it was such a fun session filled with exploring, climbing on the rocks, and plenty of sweet family moments.
One of the things I love most about being a photographer is getting to experience locations that are meaningful to my clients and capturing the memories they make there. So grateful I got to spend the morning with this wonderful family in the Smokies.

Every wedding reminds me of just how precious the people standing beside you truly are.
Watching a bride hug her mom, laugh with her dad, or share those quiet moments before walking down the aisle never gets old. My mom passed away when I was 18, so I never got to experience having her there on my wedding day. It’s something I’ll always wonder about.
Maybe that’s why I notice those moments so deeply. I don’t just photograph the dress, the details, or the first kiss. I photograph the people who showed up. The ones who loved you, prayed for you, cried with you, and celebrated you.
Your wedding day isn’t just about who you marry. It’s about who stands beside you while you do.
Love your people well. Those photos will only become more valuable with time.

Some love stories are beautifully unique, and Kyle & Becca’s is definitely one of them.
On a stunning evening in the Smoky Mountains, Kyle got down on one knee along the Foothills Parkway and asked the question that changed everything. Surrounded by mountain views and golden light, it was the perfect moment.
But can we talk about the details?!
Becca’s ring was custom made with two spiders, including a gorgeous purple spider that made it completely one of a kind. And the ring box? A tiny coffin lined with purple velvet. Every detail felt so perfectly “them” and added such a personal touch to an already unforgettable proposal.
It was an honor to capture this next chapter for these two, and I am still swooning over every image from their session.
Congratulations, Kyle & Becca! Here’s to a lifetime of adventures together. 🥂
