This IS What Strong Looks Like!
There are moments behind the camera when you know you are witnessing something bigger than a photograph. This was one of them.
My beautiful niece, a brand new graduate of Meredith College stepped onto that lawn in a sea of crimson silk and I just stood there for a second taking it in. The little girl I have loved her whole life, now a college graduate, standing tall on the campus that shaped her, ready to take on the world.
We made magic last Friday afternoon. A graduation session and a flying dress shoot, all in one, because this young lady deserved every bit of the spotlight. The dress caught the wind, the sun caught the dress, cap and gown, and somehow we managed to capture both her achievement and her spirit in the same frames.
She is not stopping here; she is off to graduate school next fall, chasing the kind of dreams that take grit, brilliance, and a whole lot of heart. She has all three in spades.
