Rain has a way of changing wedding-day plans, but it doesn't have to change the experience or the photographs.

Alicia and Mark's wedding at The Venue at Daisy Hill gave us the chance to photograph everything from their lakeside first look and outdoor ceremony to the celebration that followed. And when the rain arrived, we worked with it rather than around it, ending with one of our favorite nighttime portraits beneath a clear umbrella.

Rachael and Logan's Roswell Mill engagement session gave us a little bit of everything, strong sunlight, textured brick and greenery, moving water, reflections and quickly changing light as evening approached.

Locations like Roswell Mill may be familiar to Atlanta couples and photographers, but that doesn't mean every session has to look the same. We used the surroundings and the changing conditions to create a mix of natural moments and more creative portraits that felt like Rachael and Logan.

Madeleine and Pierce's engagement session at the Atlanta Botanical Garden gave us so much to work with, color, architecture, lush greenery and reflections that changed from one part of the garden to the next.

Even at a location we've photographed before, our goal is never to simply repeat what we've already done. We look at the light, the surroundings and the couple in front of us and find opportunities to create something that feels uniquely theirs.

V+A didn't want "just photos."

They wanted something that felt like them. A little adventurous, a little cinematic, and completely real.

So to Hightower Falls we went.

Between the rushing water, the stone ruins, and the late day light cutting through the trees, this session wasn't just about posing, it was about letting moments unfold and shaping into something intentional.

There's always a balance in sessions like this:
knowing when to step back... and when to step in and create.
