Hey Great Lakes Watercross racers, the Janesville rounds are just over a week away!

Were you hoping for more photos than you got in Kendallville?

Last night was the first time I've ever noticed a hummingbird nest. I went back this morning to take some photographs of her. Here are a couple of them. Also, she's sitting on a pair of babies.

Fun fact: She weighs just a touch more than a penny, but a fair amount less than a nickel. Everything you see here—from the nest to the nursery inside it—was built entirely by her.

This is honestly insane. With the pairing of the beautiful weather we had in Kendallville and Drew pushing the course a bit further away from the pits, and closer to the far side of the lake, I have more incredible (in my opinion) photos than I know what to do with. I firmly believe this will be the best gallery I've been able to deliver. Here are a few more of them.

I made an unplanned stop at Sugar Maple MX for the opening round of Wisconsin's Southern Cup. I stopped to say howdy to a few friends and watch them race. Of course, I had equipment with me so I had to take a few photos. A lack of mobility kept me from doing much of anything other than shooting from my pickup next to the gate entrance and a pair of short walks to the fence. If nothing else, it allowed me to shoot from a whole new perspective.
