Avery + Olivia đŸ€

Some wedding days feel extra special, and this one was certainly that.

I first met Avery years ago when he was one of my high school students. He was a good writer then, but after hearing the vows he wrote for Olivia on Saturday
I think it’s safe to say he earned an A+. 😉 His words were beautiful, but even more beautiful was the way he loves his bride—so intentionally, so kindly, and so completely.

And Olivia? She is the epitome of sentimental and intentional. Every little detail of their day carried meaning, and it was such a joy to watch those details come together. She has the most beautiful smile, and she was all smiles all day!

And yes, Codie had his own first look with Mom and Dad because obviously he needed to be part of the story, too. đŸŸđŸ€

The weather couldn’t have been more perfect. The Morrisons couldn’t have been sweeter. And I couldn’t have asked for a better friend beside me. Having Heather from Heather there made the day even more fun, and I’m so grateful we got to create together!

But maybe the most special part for me was realizing just how many chapters of this love story I’ve had the privilege of witnessing.

I photographed them when they were a brand-new couple, just figuring out this whole falling-in-love thing.

Then I got to photograph their engagement and celebrate the promise they were making to one another.

And Saturday

I got to photograph the wedding.

What an incredible honor to be trusted with the photographs that will tell the story of the day Avery and Olivia became husband and wife.

The Morrison wedding was beautiful, joyful, intentional, sentimental, and so completely them.

And honestly? I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. đŸ€

Sometimes the places we see all the time become the places we stop really seeing.

I’ve been to this spot more times than I can count, and somehow this day I noticed it differently.

The old tree.
The quiet lake.
The little bench overlooking the water.
A moment that didn’t need anything added to it.

Maybe there’s beauty in the familiar that we miss simply because we’ve stopped looking for it. đŸ€

A little reminder to slow down and notice what’s already beautiful.

✹ Sneak Peek | Braylynn | Angola High School | Class of 2027 ✹

Some people have a way of carrying their story with confidence. Braylynn is one of them. đŸ€

Whether she’s dancing or sharing her love for her Puerto Rican heritage, she does it with so much pride, joy, and authenticity. Every part of this senior session reflected who she is, and that’s exactly what made it so beautiful.

One of my favorite things about photographing seniors is creating an experience that celebrates what makes each person uniquely themselves. There is only one Braylynn, and this gallery couldn’t belong to anyone else.

Braylynn, thank you for trusting me with such an exciting season of your life. It was an honor to capture your strength, your beauty, your passion, and the story you’re already writing. The future is so bright, and I can’t wait to see where it takes you. ✹

🎓 Class of 2027, senior year will be here before you know it. If you’re dreaming of senior photos that feel authentic, creative, and completely you, let’s start planning your story.

It is such an honor to be a family’s photographer. To get a call or message when a new milestone is coming. To grow with a family.

The right outfit doesn’t just complete a senior session... it helps tell the story. ✹

Lylli absolutely understood the assignment.

Every location she chose had its own personality, and somehow every outfit felt like it was made for that exact spot. She put so much thought into every detail, and it made such a difference. Her gallery feels intentional, cohesive, and unmistakably her.

I always encourage my seniors to think beyond simply picking outfits they like. Think about how they’ll complement the locations, the colors, and the overall feel of the session. When everything works together, the photos become something truly special.

Lylli, it was such a joy photographing you. Thank you for trusting the process and bringing such a beautiful vision to life. đŸ€

Class of 2027: Senior season will be here before you know it! If you’re dreaming about photos that feel uniquely you, let’s start planning now—from the perfect locations to outfits that bring your vision to life. I can’t wait to create something beautiful together.

Editing senior sessions in the rain today was a gift. Storms can be scary. Rain can be inconvenient. Thunder can be intimidating.

Then my 5 year old dropped some wisdom
Rain makes more things pop up. Storms bring nourishment. Thunder can be a song. If you’re in a storm in your life, pay close attention — things are about to pop up! đŸ«¶đŸ»

I have a new obsession
 Date Night Sessions. 🍕✹

No pressure.
No awkward posing.
Just the two of you doing something you’d actually do together.

Pizza runs.
Ice cream.
Bowling.
A bookstore.
Your favorite coffee shop.
Watching the sunset from the back of a truck.

Because years from now, you’ll remember how your love felt—not just what it looked like.

Kyana and Eli set the bar pretty high with pizza, root beer, and garage rooftops. đŸ€

There is something so special about when a family chooses a place that already holds so many memories. đŸ€

This session was a gift to Keri from her girls, and I honestly can’t think of a sweeter one.

We spent the evening at the lake—a place that has become part of their family’s story. We laughed a lot. We celebrated a recently lost tooth. We admired some pretty impressive gymnastics splits that came from hours and hours of hard work. We chased little moments that, years from now, will mean so much more than anyone realizes today.

One of my favorite parts of this job is listening.

I get to hear how couples met, what traditions matter most, and the stories that have shaped a family. As we walked together, Keri and Zeb shared about meeting in college and falling in love. Looking around at their children, grandchildren, and all the joy surrounding them
it was impossible not to smile at what God has built through one simple “yes.”

These are the sessions I leave with a full heart.

Because family photos aren’t just about updating the picture on the wall. They’re about preserving a legacy. They’re about remembering what this season felt like before the kids grew another inch, another tooth fell out, or another summer slipped by.

What a gift it was to spend the evening with the Jacobs family. đŸ€

If your family has a place that feels like home—a lake, a farm, Grandpa’s porch, or a backyard you’ve loved for years—I would love to meet you there. Those places always tell the best stories.

POV: Senior photos accidentally turn into the sweetest summer date night. â˜€ïžđŸ€

Peyton has spent every summer making memories with her family at Lake Gage, traveling all the way from Colorado. So instead of simply choosing beautiful locations, we visited places that already meant something.

As the sun began to set over the lake, Anthony joined in—and somehow a senior photo session became the sweetest evening together. The laughter was effortless. The sunset was unforgettable. And these two made every frame feel like a scene from a summer movie.

I always tell my seniors that the best photos happen when a session reflects who they really are. Favorite places. Favorite people. The stories that make senior year unique.

Because years from now, these won’t just be senior pictures.
They’ll be memories of one perfect summer.

✹ Question for everyone:
If a photo session could happen anywhere that holds special memories, where would it be?

I’d love to read the answers. âŹ‡ïž
