Carmen + Dawson 🤍

There are wedding days that are beautiful, and then there are wedding days that feel holy.

Carmen and Dawson’s Sylvan Cellars wedding was full of those quiet, sacred moments that make wedding photography so much more than pretty pictures.

Their private vows were some of the most beautiful and heartfelt I’ve ever had the privilege of witnessing. Just the two of them, speaking promises to each other before stepping into the rest of their wedding day.

And then, moments before Carmen walked down the aisle, her girls gathered around her and prayed over her. 🥹

It was so perfectly Carmen.

A woman who loves deeply, loves intentionally, and understands that some of the most meaningful wedding moments happen away from the crowd.

Throughout the entire day, she also found little ways to honor her mom, Sarah. Sweet, intentional moments tucked into the day that said so much about the love between them.

And this is exactly why I love being an Indiana wedding photographer.

Yes, I want to capture the beautiful portraits, the gorgeous details, and the magic of a Sylvan Cellars wedding. But I also want to preserve the things you might miss if you’re only looking at the big moments—the hands held during a prayer, the tears before the ceremony, the quiet words between a bride and her mom, the people who surround you and love you most.

Zach + Sophia 🤍

Some weddings feel a little more personal to photograph.

I’ve known Zach and his family since he was just a baby. I’ve known Sophia and her family for many years, too. And years ago, before these two ever really knew each other, I had the privilege of photographing both of their senior pictures.

I obviously had no idea then that one day I’d be photographing them as husband and wife. 🥹

And that might be one of my favorite parts of this job—getting to witness people through different seasons of their lives.

I’ve photographed them as teenagers, watched their families grow and change, and now I get to preserve the beginning of this new chapter together.

Their wedding day was full of so much joy, so much love, and so many people who have been part of their stories long before they became one story.

Zach and Sophia, what an honor it was to be there.

Powered by love, vows, and Red Bull. 🥤🖤

Somewhere between “I do” and the cake cutting, Zach + Sophia made a very important stop in Warsaw.

Because apparently the wedding day runs on love + Red Bull.

Honestly? The black-and-white photos of a bride and groom grabbing energy drinks at a gas station on their wedding day might be one of my favorite wedding photo series ever.

Red Bull, if you’re looking for a wedding photographer… I have ideas. 😂

Zach + Sophia: 10/10 would wedding-day gas station stop again.

Fall sessions are coming, and I am READY for them. 🍂🤎

Give me crisp air, golden leaves, cozy layers, and that little bit of magic that only happens for a few weeks in the Midwest.

Fall is one of my favorite times of year to photograph families, couples, and all the little seasons in between. And because that beautiful fall color window is so short, I’m opening a limited number of fall sessions this year.

Senior pictures, but make them a little less traditional. 🌊

Kruez said, “Sure, we’ll do the cap and gown…”

…but we’re also putting it on a wakeboard.

Lake.
Sun.
Friends.
A whole lot of sunscreen.
And a senior who clearly knows how to have a good time.

This is what senior photos should feel like.

Not just what you looked like at 18, but what you loved, what made you laugh, and who you were in this season of your life.

Kruez, you made this one unforgettable. 🔥

Avery + Olivia 🤍

Some wedding days feel extra special, and this one was certainly that.

I first met Avery years ago when he was one of my high school students. He was a good writer then, but after hearing the vows he wrote for Olivia on Saturday… I think it’s safe to say he earned an A+. 😉 His words were beautiful, but even more beautiful was the way he loves his bride—so intentionally, so kindly, and so completely.

And Olivia? She is the epitome of sentimental and intentional. Every little detail of their day carried meaning, and it was such a joy to watch those details come together. She has the most beautiful smile, and she was all smiles all day!

And yes, Codie had his own first look with Mom and Dad because obviously he needed to be part of the story, too. 🐾🤍

The weather couldn’t have been more perfect. The Morrisons couldn’t have been sweeter. And I couldn’t have asked for a better friend beside me. Having Heather from Heather there made the day even more fun, and I’m so grateful we got to create together!

But maybe the most special part for me was realizing just how many chapters of this love story I’ve had the privilege of witnessing.

I photographed them when they were a brand-new couple, just figuring out this whole falling-in-love thing.

Then I got to photograph their engagement and celebrate the promise they were making to one another.

And Saturday…

I got to photograph the wedding.

What an incredible honor to be trusted with the photographs that will tell the story of the day Avery and Olivia became husband and wife.

The Morrison wedding was beautiful, joyful, intentional, sentimental, and so completely them.

And honestly? I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. 🤍

Sometimes the places we see all the time become the places we stop really seeing.

I’ve been to this spot more times than I can count, and somehow this day I noticed it differently.

The old tree.
The quiet lake.
The little bench overlooking the water.
A moment that didn’t need anything added to it.

Maybe there’s beauty in the familiar that we miss simply because we’ve stopped looking for it. 🤍

A little reminder to slow down and notice what’s already beautiful.

✨ Sneak Peek | Braylynn | Angola High School | Class of 2027 ✨

Some people have a way of carrying their story with confidence. Braylynn is one of them. 🤍

Whether she’s dancing or sharing her love for her Puerto Rican heritage, she does it with so much pride, joy, and authenticity. Every part of this senior session reflected who she is, and that’s exactly what made it so beautiful.

One of my favorite things about photographing seniors is creating an experience that celebrates what makes each person uniquely themselves. There is only one Braylynn, and this gallery couldn’t belong to anyone else.
