The Masson family spring mini.

Our family is so thankful to count the Massons among our dear friends. The Lord was so kind to place us in their small group when we first moved to KC and joined our church, and they have been such a gift to our family ever since.

They’re the kind of friends who laugh with us, walk with us through the joys and hardships of parenting, pray with us, and even let our sibling dogs be wild together. 🤗

I loved getting to capture this sweet season for them with a quick mini session before Renae graduates and heads off to college!

I’ve been wanting to shoot at for a while now so when Kelsie hosted a content day I was all in! In the midst of a busy season, kids soccer, and church—I trekked down south (northland girl here 😅) to photograph this beautiful family alongside other talented KC photogs. It is always fun to create amongst creatives. To hear their stories and about their families, spurs me on in the work I love getting to do. Gracie’s cap and gown photos.
To know Gracie is to love her. I had seen her around South events whenever I was there for my own kids; she was the emcee at my daughter’s orchestra concert, at sporting events, friends with other students I knew. Then I got to take her family photos this Fall. Last night I watched her conduct the symphonic orchestra with joy and skill! I told her mom afterward it made me tear up just watching her.

Congrats Gracie on graduating! I have no doubt you have a beautifully bright future! Never lose your joy and love of beauty— you are a gift to those around you!

This session is proof that even a short and sweet mini can capture some really beautiful images!
I loved getting Abby Kate and Keegan in front of my lens to get some updated photos to remember this exciting season. Huge congrats to Keegan on graduating with his MDiv. That’s such a big milestone and just the start of some great opportunities to come!
These two serve our church so faithfully in many ways, but I’m especially grateful for the way they pour into our youth. Thank you for loving our teens so well! It doesn’t go unnoticed!

The Redd’s welcomed their second baby girl since the last session I had with them. They braved the wind at the Nelson (the weather this Spring has been wild!) along with prom goers!

We kept this session close to home. A favorite path in her neighborhood, a favorite coffee shop, and then some time wandering through downtown Parkville. Senior sessions are meant to reflect you and this season of life. I loved how Whitney’s session turned out!

All 20 slides were needed for this sweet in-home newborn session! Little Margaret has the best big brother and sister and the most adoring mom and dad. I first photographed this family when their oldest was just a few months old. It has been a blessing to not only see their family grow but get to photograph them along the way!
