Art shouldn’t go unseen and also should be RE-SEEN.

I became “known” for my protest photography back in 2020 and while it did bring me quite a few clients who I love dearly, I didn’t my want my photographer identity to be “the protest photographer”

But it was. Still kinda is depending on who you talk too.

I missed the no kings protest yesterday due to working my full time job. Normally I would just call out but i am training a new person and that comes with a nice bonus and in this economy I prioritize getting paid.

I missed the no kings in October due to traveling but I DID attend the one last June and still have many unreleased photos which I will post soon.

Art shouldn’t go unseen and also should be RE-SEEN.
All these photos I took back in 2020 during BLM protesting and it all is still relevant.

I got my first photo session booking of 2026 today (excluding Black Friday sales) and the client paid FULL PRICE for a family session AND was reccomended by their cousin who has been my client twice.
*cough it’s the client in these pictures! cough *

My small business heart is just so full of joy!! Recommendations is how I get majority of my business so my full gratitude to those who speak positively of me, my work, and the experience I offer to others!

F&$k Trump!

It’s been quite a while since I shared any NEW protest photos I’ve taken even though I took these last June.

Yes, I’m still in the streets occasionally! With and without my camera.

I pride myself sticking up for what I believe in. My clients know this and if you’re new here or just didn’t know -
I HATE Trump.
F**k ICE!

I got recognized at the grocery store yesterday cause of MY NAILS (lmao) by one of my long standing clients friend and said they love my photography.

I’ve been wearing long acrylic nails for 5 years and occasionally post when I get them done on social media.

How damn cool is to support small businesses and be recognized in public?

One of my photos is BACK in a new exhibition in the new renovated space at the !

Back in 2022 - I had the honor of my life to be featured along several other photographers and have our very own exhibition featuring images we took during the BLM protests in Portland.

After that exhibition ended - I sold 2 of images to the museum for their permanent collection because I want a legacy.

Fast forward to 2025 - one of those images are back on museum walls!

This is a dream I never knew I had. My name on a plaque on ART MUSEUM walls.
I went during opening weekend and got witness many people admiring my work!
This is the stuff that reminds me I’m a really good photographer.

Here’s the truth - Life is kicking my ass this year and I mean that in the sense of close loved ones having health problems and dying!

In March, my mother in law practically died and was in the ICU. She survived. It was a miracle truly.

In May, my father in law had brain surgery.

In July, my mother had major heart surgery.

In September, my grandma died.

In October, my husbands grandpa died.

Also in October - a very close family friend of mine died. He was my dad’s best friend and my dad’s best man when he got married in 1974. He was my sisters (yes I have a sister but we are estranged) godfather.

But life doesn’t care you got s**t tearing you down - clients photo galleries are due, bills are due, food needs to be bought, & I still have to clock in - life doesn’t stop just cause your world is crashing.

I may appear to be ignoring or going ghost but it’s just one thing at a time that I can focus on and being present for what I’m in at the moment.

Just a woman that’s trying her best. It could be worse but it could be better.
