I am your portrait and lifestyle photographer, born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I began creating my image as a photographer as an 18-year-old, and to this day continue to tap into my creative side as an entrepreneur, photographer, designer, crafter, and Cricut lover! I will be not only your wedding photographer but also am there to make sure things run smoothly and help you create a sche

dule so you don't have to worry about timing on your big day. You'll often find me making silly faces, demonstrating poses, and singing along to the music on the dance floor! Aubrey + Carson 🤍

Some couples just make it so easy to photograph — and these two are exactly that.

From the moment we started their engagement session, it felt less like a photoshoot and more like spending an afternoon with two friends who happen to be ridiculously in love. They are so easy to talk to, laugh at pretty much everything, and have the kind of joy that makes you want to be around them.

We started with a beautiful, sunny evening at Tunnel Park, soaking up the perfect beach weather, and ended our time wandering through Downtown Holland. In between all the photos were plenty of laughs, playful moments, and the kind of effortless connection that makes my job so much fun.

These two met at Calvin College and started dating just TWO weeks later — and now they're counting down to June 2027.

I have a feeling their wedding day is going to be every bit as joyful, playful, and full of laughter as they are.

So grateful I get to document this season for you both, Aubrey + Carson.

There’s something so powerful about having photographs that feel like you — especially when your work is centered around helping other women feel seen, heard, and empowered. 🤍

I had the sweetest time photographing Mattison of Her Nourished Roots for her Kalamazoo branding session, creating a collection of images that reflect both the heart behind her work and the woman behind the business.

Mattison is the founder of Her Nourished Roots, a women’s hormone health and body literacy practice helping women better understand their bodies, connect the dots between their symptoms and overall health, and feel more confident advocating for themselves.

Her approach is rooted in listening, education, and foundational wellness — working alongside medical care to help women feel more informed and prepared when navigating their health.

Audrey & Matt's wedding at Bay Pointe Woods was the perfect reminder that the most beautiful celebrations are built on love, intention, and genuine joy.

Every part of their Michigan wedding reflected who they are—from the thoughtfully curated details to the way they cared for every guest in attendance. Nothing was overlooked, and every moment felt meaningful. Their kindness, excitement, and deep love for one another made documenting this day an absolute privilege.

As a Michigan wedding photographer, these are the weddings I'll never forget. The joyful tears, heartfelt vows, beautiful lakeside setting, and countless little details all came together to tell a story that was uniquely theirs.

Some sessions are extra special. 🤍

A few years ago, I had the honor of photographing the Bertoldis' wedding day. Last week, we met again on the shores of South Haven—but this time, they were introducing me to the sweetest new addition to their family.

Watching couples grow into parents is one of my favorite parts of this job. Being invited back to document these next chapters is something I'll never take for granted.

To make the evening even more meaningful, we included grandparents and an uncle, capturing three generations together. These are the photos that become family treasures.

And can we talk about the weather? The forecast had us expecting rain all day, but instead we were gifted the most beautiful morning with soft light, a calm beach, and the kind of sunrise photographers dream about. Sometimes Mother Nature has better plans than the forecast. ✨

Thank you, Bertoldi family, for trusting me to preserve another milestone in your story. It means the world to be part of these memories.

Hi, I'm Audrey! 👋

I realized I've gained quite a few new faces around here lately, so I thought it was time to properly introduce myself.

I'm the photographer behind Audrey Sytsma Photography, and I truly believe the best photos aren't about perfect poses—they're about preserving the moments you'll want to remember years from now. Whether it's your growing family, your wedding day, or the little in-between moments, I'm so grateful to be trusted with your memories.

A few fun facts about me:

• I've always been drawn to creativity, and photography lets me tell stories while freezing moments in time.
• If I'm not behind the camera, you'll probably find me in my garden. This year I completely fell in love with growing flowers and vegetables (and yes... I'm officially obsessed with dahlias).
• I'm always up for a good glass of wine after a busy wedding weekend. I'm a red girlie all the way.
• I love crafting and making things with my hands.
• I'm an Australian Shepherd dog mom.
• I love traveling and exploring new places whenever I get the chance. My favorite countries so far have been Norway, Italy, and Tanzania.
• I'm a wife and mom to two little ones who keep life wonderfully busy and remind me every day why photos matter so much.
