Spend a travel day with me as I fly from from Tennessee to Montana to photograph an elopement in Glacier National Park!

This is my fourth time flying from the east to the west to document a wedding, and it still gets me just as excited as the first time l traveled this way!
I love my smoky mountains but it was such a special treat to shoot a couple here in Glacier, and I’m already dying to come back.

Follow along for more content from the elopement day and the hikes I took during my trip here!
(P.s. the cabin clip is blue skies bc I took that clip the day after arriving. The first day it was dark after l arrived)

Family photos don’t have to be chaotic 🤪

Steal a seasoned wedding and elopement photographer’s template and tips for group shots post-ceremony.

Your family might not look like this template.. I understand that more than anyone. That’s OKAY! You can add, remove, or change any grouping to fit the people who matter to you 🤍

You blink and all of a sudden, it’s August.

The truth is, I’ve been pretty quiet on social media! I took a month or so off from posting because it started to feel like a distraction from living life and from focusing on the parts of my business that matter most.

I already spend so much of my day looking at a screen between client communication, editing, planning, and all the behind-the-scenes work that comes with running a business.

So over the past several weeks, I’ve made a conscious effort to spend more time outside. More walks. More swims. More sunsets. More time with the people I love. More of the things that make me feel like myself.

And I think that matters for my work, too. Making space for a full life outside of photography allows me to come back to it more present, more inspired, and able to give my clients the best version of myself.

Moving forward, I’m planning to schedule my posts in bulk so social media can be a small, intentional part of my business rather than something constantly asking for my attention.

Here’s to spending a little less time documenting life for the internet and a little more time actually living it. 🤍

Thanks for being here every season of the journey.

Raynita & Charlie’s sun drenched private vows + portraits on the Foothills Parkway ⛰️💐🌞✨

Every single part of this elopement day felt so intentional. After their intimate ceremony with a small party of family and friends, we separated from the group for a couple of hours to explore the Foothills Parkway. These two got a chance to share their vows privately, in the most beautiful setting. Charlie recited his from the heart.

From there we were able to just play, taking some beautiful wedding portraits along the drive back to their cabin reception!

More to come from this beautiful summer smoky mountain elopement day 🤍

The Layman Wedding: Part Two 🪩🍾💃🏽🍕

When I tell y’all I had SUCH a hard time narrowing this down to 20! This reception was so much fun I can’t believe I was technically working 😅

Fly by Night was the ultimate location for this wedding reception! I’m going to need more disco balls and Bad Bunny on the dance floor in 2026…🔥

Layman Wedding Day, Part 1 🕯️🥀✨

Ethan and Geysel started their wedding day in the heart of downtown Knoxville, getting ready at the Hyatt Place.

They brought along a few special details for their flat lays, including this red velvet background that photographed so beautifully!

We made our way to the rooftop for their first touch, first look, and private vows. It was such a sweet, intimate moment for the two of them to slow down and soak everything in before celebrating with family and friends.

On our way out, we made a quick stop at the iconic Tennessee Theatre sign. If you’re dressed for your wedding in downtown Knoxville, you can’t *not* grab a picture here!

The group traveled to Ethan’s hometown church tucked away in the Tennessee countryside for the ceremony. The rice toss exit is easily one of my favorite shots from the day!

Stay tuned for part two, I don’t think you’re ready for these reception photos! 🪩💃🍕🍾
