If you ever ask me what my favorite movie is, my answer is probably going to be Dirty Dancing. I used to watch it with my grandma all the time, and still love the songs in the movie too. I’ve been wanting to do a Dirty Dancing inspired shoot for a bit, but wasn’t sure WHERE to do it until now.

This was so fun, creative and full of laughs the entire time. Fabi killed that lift, and I’m so so proud of her for doing it (togs, you know, most people can’t pull it off). Needless to say, I’m obsessed with how fun this shoot was.

Please don’t ask me if I’m a girls girl. My entire life and career are dedicated to holding women through some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. 🤍

From birth stories to postpartum snuggles, late night calls, rushing to births, hosting birth circles, and documenting the little moments in between, I truly believe there is something sacred about getting to be that person for women.

There is nothing more beautiful than women holding women. 🌿✨

Just a reminder that your family photos don’t need to be super fancy, posed, dressed up, in a studio or specific location. They can just be your family, in your own element, doing something you love, in a location special to you. 🤎🛶

— Noah got to read along to this shoot with me, and you’d never guess that he was happily sitting at my feet in his own little life jacket the whole time. It’s still surreal to me that my baby and I get to go out on a boat with a family I met with to announce their second baby, and now look how big he is!! Not only did we get the cool opportunity to go out on the water with them, but somehow this is what I call “work”?? My ancestors would be shook. 🥹
