It’s not every day that a wedding photographer gets to document a love story that is rooted into their hometown with generations long before even being born!
A couple of weeks ago, I had the honor of photographing the wedding of a childhood friend and bride (now friend, adore you girl )who is also a lifelong local here in the Florida Keys. In a profession where I am constantly welcomed into some of the most important days of people’s lives, every now and then a wedding comes along that carries an extra layer of meaning.
These details tell a story far bigger than flowers, rings, and beautiful décor. They represent years of memories, deep roots in this community, and two incredible people beginning their next chapter surrounded by the place and people who helped shape them.
Photographing this day was a reminder of why I love what I do. Not just for the beautiful moments, but for the connections, the history, and the privilege of preserving memories for people who have been part of the story long before I ever picked up a camera.
A few favorite details from a truly special Keys wedding.
