just my favorite moments + yours Joy for me is capturing special moments for new + old friends.

Over the years, I’ve worked with some of the most talented photographers in the industry, artists who’ve mentored me and helped me hone my own vision. In the process I’ve also come to know that capturing special moments for others lights me on fire. I’m Miranda, “m” to my friends, and if you ask them, I have always been obsessed with documenting everything— determined not to let a moment slip away

big or small. I am highly aware that life moves wayyy too fast but having a photo to look back on makes me feel like I can slow life down just for a second. When you look back at photos, my hope is that you will be able to remember all the emotions and feelings that you felt in that moment of your life. When I work with you and your families, I want the only focus to be on making memories and enjoying where you are and who you are with. Celebrating the little gifts God has given us. The happy, the joyful, the warm, the loving, the celebratory, and even the heart wrenching moments—those feelings in your favorite places, with your favorite people are the flashes of life you want to cherish forever. I want to help you capture the real moments beyond the posed smiles.

Three years ago I met Kylah & James for the very first time, and this Saturday I get to photograph their wedding!!!!

It’s kind of funny looking back at these photos because I was unknowingly documenting where this friendship all began. What started as two strangers booking a session turned into one of my sweetest friendships.

Over the years, Kylah has stood beside me at so many weddings, helping me take care of my couples and becoming such a dear friend. But one thing I’ve always loved is that it’s never just been Kylah. More often than not James has been there too. He’s every bit as kind and thoughtful and together they have a way of making everyone around them feel seen and cared for.

Getting to celebrate them this weekend feels so full circle. I can’t wait to head to Wisconsin and document their wedding weekend w/ all their favorite people!

We started the festivities at the beach with all of their favorite people, then met back up later that evening for their rehearsal dinner 🤍 everyone take notes!!!

This session actually didn’t go as planned.

We were all set. It was beautiful and sunny one minute, and the next it was absolutely pouring. We got soaked. Like, completely soaked. We all laughed, called it, and rescheduled for a few days later. Swipe to the last slide for proof.

Driving home, I couldn’t stop thinking, I hope this becomes one of those stories these girls remember years from now.

Getting to photograph the same families year after year is one of my favorite parts of this job. Watching them grow is special, but I love seeing the things that never change too, like their laugh.

I hope these become the photos they look back on when they think about summers spent together.

I have come to the conclusion that eventually I’m going to have to post every image from this wedding.

Every detail was perfect, but my favorite thing about this day was watching Christian and Cody look at each other.

Their love was evident in every moment. In every glance, every smile, every happy tear. The kind of love that doesn’t need words to be felt.

I’m always thinking about the invisible strings that bring people into our lives.

I met Aly while she was working at my favorite coffee shop (RIP Holiday). Somewhere between coffee orders and conversations, we became friends. We would go on walks dreaming about the businesses we hoped to build one day.

Fast forward, and I’ve had the privilege of documenting so many chapters of their story. The beginning of HolSol. Their engagement photos in Rome. Their wedding day. And now, this sweet season as they wait for their baby girl.

It’s funny to think that a camera is the reason our paths crossed in the way they did.

Watching Aly build HolSol has always inspired me. She has a way of pouring herself into every client with her hands, her heart, and her calming voice. And Dalton… he’s simply sunshine. If you’ve ever spent five minutes with him, you’ve probably laughed. Together they have this steady kindness that makes everyone around them feel at home. They are going to be the most incredible parents.

I never want to take for granted that I get invited into moments like these. What started as taking photos has become witnessing people’s lives unfold, one season after another. And that will always be one of the greatest gifts this job has given me.

I can’t wait to meet their baby girl.🌸

Happy 4th of July weekend!!! 🇺🇸

Spent yesterday morning in the Bell family’s cutie backyard, and it reminded me how much I love in home sessions.

There is something so special about documenting the place where your everyday life happens. The backyard where your kids run barefoot, the porch where you drink your morning coffee, the living room filled with toys, laughter, and all the little moments that make this season of life yours.

Years from now, those spaces will look different, and I think there’s something really meaningful about having photos that bring you right back to them.

When I first started photography, in home sessions with friends were some of my favorite things to photograph. I’d love to do more of them this year. 🤍
