The big 4-0 has arrived for our friend Dewayne, owner at His Kingdom Pressure Washing! I had the pleasure of not only taking these fun birthday pictures months back but also celebrating my best friends birthday, his beautiful wife Anna on a cruise with all our friends back in May!

If you know Dewayne, you know a few things are guaranteed- he's always ready for a cruise, Mexican food is never a bad idea & there's nothing he loves more than spending time with his family & friends.

But more than anything,Dewayne is a man who loves God, loves his people & knows just how blessed these 40 years have been.

We are so thankful to have these two as friends & they are so very special to our family!

Anniversary sessions always have a special place in my heart ❤

Thirty years of choosing each other. Thirty years of building a life together. Thirty years of memories, changes, laughter, hard seasons, beautiful seasons & a love that stood the test of time.

It's such an honor when clients trust me to capture milestones like this. These aren't just pictures it's 30 years in the making.

I think this will forever be one of the most special parts of what I do. 🥰

These photos were taken , four years apart and when I put them side by side, I see so much more than how my photography has changed.

I see four years of life.

I see little faces that have grown, personalities that have changed, and a family that has continued to come back and trust me with their memories year after year.

When I started photography, I was focused on learning the ins and outs, finding my style, and building a business. I never really thought about what it would feel like years later to look back and realize that I’ve been documenting entire pieces of people’s lives.

And THAT is the part I love the most. 🥹

Some of you have been with me since the very beginning. You trusted me before my work looked like it does today. You gave me opportunities to learn and grow, and then you came back. Through all the years of self teaching and every day something new for me to learn. You keep coming back.

There’s really no bigger compliment you can give a photographer than trusting them with your family over and over again.

One day these kids will be grown. These seasons will look completely different. But their families will have photographs that show exactly who they were in each little chapter along the way.

And knowing I got to be the person behind the camera for some of those chapters?

That means everything to me. ❤️

So here’s to where I started, how much I’ve grown, and most importantly, the families who have grown right along side me. Thanks for being extended family & friends. I love & appreciate you all!
