A little honesty from behind the camera. 🤍

I know I’ve been a little absent here lately. Sneak peeks have been put on the back burner more than I’d like to admit, and I owe you guys an apology for that.

Losing my studio this summer took a lot more out of me than I think I realized at the time. I lost my space, but somewhere in the middle of everything that followed, I think I lost a little bit of my spark for photography too.

It’s taken me some time to find that again.

I’ve also been trying really hard to be more present outside of work. Spending time with my family, welcoming our new foreign exchange students, soaking up the craziness of summer and reminding myself that I don’t always have to be working.

The important part: your full galleries are still on schedule to be delivered on time (and many early!). That has never changed. But the sneak peeks? Truthfully, I’ve been slacking. I know it, and I’m working on it.

And lately… something has started to shift.

There are some pretty big things on the horizon for Photo Focus, and for the first time in a while, I’m feeling that little spark again. That glimpse of hope and excitement about creating, planning and figuring out what this next chapter looks like.

I’m really excited for what the remainder of this year holds.

So thank you for sticking with me through a season that looked a little different than I expected. Thank you for continuing to trust me with your families, your seniors, your weddings, your teams and all of the moments in between.

I’m still here. I’m finding my footing again.

And I have a feeling the next chapter of Photo Focus is going to be a pretty good one. 🖤

Prior to 2020, Stranger Sessions were one of the most fun things offered here at Photo Focus. It's about time we bring them back.

Here's how it works:

Single? Fill out an application telling me a little about yourself, what you're looking for, your interests, your dealbreakers and everything I need to know to help find you a match.

Then, I play matchmaker.

If I think I've found someone for you, I'll reach out with a date, time and location. You'll have the opportunity to say YES, I'm In...without knowing who your stranger is.

If you both say yes, you'll each book your spot and pay the small session fee.

Then comes the fun part...

You wont meet each other until you show up for your session.

Two complete strangers.
One photographer.
Up to 60 minutes together.
And absolutely no guarantee whether we'll get awkward laughs, instant chemistry, a new friendship...or maybe even a second date 👀❤
