Dotonbori during the day mid-July is hot, humid, and no wind to cool you off. But it’s worth it, we love the place!

Thank you Japan for changing the lights on Tokyo Tower for the night to celebrate Independence Day (USA). I’m glad I happened to be in the park and saw the different colors! We even found a little garden with a fun little rabbit couple in the park.

Fuji International Speedway for a day of amazing JDM cars getting used for what they were designed to do. Fuji-San even came out to from behind a snow cloud to watch the races. Japan performance cars never disappoint, I hope they never disappear.

Late in the evening on the streets of Gion New Years Eve. Silent shimekazari stand guard over doorways. The quiet shuffling of feet across the street surface along with hushed voices disturb the stillness. Old Kyoto after the tourists turn in for the night is a glimpse of the past.

Yoyogi Park as it closes for the evening. The quiet, settled forest seems out of place next to busy Tokyo.
