Fuji International Speedway for a day of amazing JDM cars getting used for what they were designed to do. Fuji-San even came out to from behind a snow cloud to watch the races. Japan performance cars never disappoint, I hope they never disappear.

Late in the evening on the streets of Gion New Years Eve. Silent shimekazari stand guard over doorways. The quiet shuffling of feet across the street surface along with hushed voices disturb the stillness. Old Kyoto after the tourists turn in for the night is a glimpse of the past.

Yoyogi Park as it closes for the evening. The quiet, settled forest seems out of place next to busy Tokyo.

Fuji-San has his white cap on as the trees turn red. I can’t wait to see the snow, it’s been too long since my last white Christmas.

Suddenly the temperature went from 38 degrees Celsius to a pleasant 21 degrees overnight. The festivals and celebrations are everywhere now that the heat is less oppressive.

Slow shutters, wide open aperture, and a chaotic environment made Teamlab Borderless a challenge to photograph but it was amazing to experience. 5 stars, would recommend when you’re in Tokyo. These are from the first room we experienced.

It was incredibly hot in Tokyo the last few weeks, it’s been a challenge to be out taking photographs. Even the nights have been uncomfortable but Japan continues to move, regardless of the weather.
