Hoping for some peace, safety, and a little break from all the chaos. 🙏🏼✨ And especially manifesting NO MORE STORMS for Hawaiʻi. 🌺🌈

One of the things I love most about shooting weddings is that every wedding is different. Every couple is different. The vibes are different. The little moments, the people, the traditions, the way the day unfolds… even though everyone is there for the same reason, every wedding has its own story.

A few things that really stood out to me from Amir + Felisa’s day were the moments that felt uniquely them.

Felisa chose to do a first look with her girls. And let me tell you… it did NOT disappoint. Their reactions were priceless, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. 🥹

Another favorite was their “first touch.” They didn’t see each other before the ceremony. Instead, they simply held hands, connected, and shared private vows with just the two of them.

These are the moments I love most. The ones that aren’t necessarily part of the traditional wedding checklist, but become some of the memories you carry with you forever. 🫶🏼

Recently had the opportunity to experience Asato’s Flavor Lab located in the Hyatt Regency Waikiki , and as someone with a MAJOR sweet tooth, this was right up my alley! 😋

It’s essentially a dessert omakase experience inspired by local Hawaiʻi flavors, and I was absolutely blown away. Having worked at our local candy shop, Carousel Candyland, for 14 years before going full-time with photography, I’ve always had a special love for sweets—and this experience did NOT disappoint. 🤤

Every course was so thoughtfully created, unique, and delicious. If you’re a dessert lover or just looking for a really fun and different tasting experience, I highly recommend giving Asato’s Flavor Lab a try! 🌺🍬🍧

‘Ori Tahiti is more than just dance—it’s a beautiful expression of Tahitian culture, storytelling, strength, and connection.

I’m so honored I was able to capture such a special moment for Kayla as she celebrated her retirement from dancing, for now, after 20 years of dedicating her life to ‘Ori Tahiti. 💛

Twenty years of movement, music, culture, discipline, and countless memories all leading to this moment. What an incredible journey to witness and preserve through photographs.

Here’s to the next chapter, Kayla. 🌺✨

My first G Adventures solo trip took me to Peru, where I hiked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu and explored the Amazon in Iquitos. It was one of the most life-changing experiences of my life. I met incredible people from around the world—some of whom I still keep in touch with today—and came home with a deep appreciation for Peru’s history, culture, and people.

That’s why I love G Adventures so much. It’s about more than just seeing beautiful places—it’s about traveling with purpose, supporting local communities, and preserving the destinations we visit. Growing up in Hawaiʻi, I’ve seen how over-tourism can impact the environment, which makes their mission especially meaningful to me. I also hate how many Hawaii locals have been “priced out of paradise.” I hope to inspire others to travel intentionally, respect local cultures, support local businesses, and leave every destination better than they found it. 🫶🏼🌍

Some weddings come with perfect sunshine… and others come with a Kona Low storm. 🌧️

Rami + Katy’s wedding day was filled with rain, but you’d never know it by the smiles on their faces. They embraced every moment, never lost sight of what truly mattered, and reminded everyone that a wedding isn’t about perfect weather—it’s about celebrating your love.

We grabbed my clear umbrellas, danced through the rain, and honestly… ended up having so much fun.

Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass. It’s about embracing the chaos, finding joy in the unexpected, and making beautiful memories anyway. 🥹🫶🏼

Sometimes, all you need is your person, a place you’ve always dreamed of, and the promise of forever. 🤍

There’s something so beautiful about leaving the expectations behind and saying “I do” in a destination that feels like home to your hearts. No big production—just the two of you, fully present, soaking in every moment together.

Because at the end of the day, it’s never about how many people witness your vows… it’s about the love you share and the life you’re choosing to build together. 🫶🏼

One of my most unforgettable experiences was traveling with National Geographic G Adventures through the Amazon rainforest in Iquitos, Peru. 🌿🐒 It pushed me completely out of my comfort zone and gave me the chance to fully embrace the local culture… including the street food. 😅

Yep… I ate Suri (Amazonian palm weevil larva). 🫣 While I wouldn’t exactly agree with Pumbaa from The Lion King saying, “Slimy… yet satisfying,” 😂 I have to admit—it really wasn’t that bad! Believe it or not… it tasted like bacon. 🥓🤣

I’ll be heading off on another solo adventure with G Adventures later this year, and I seriously can’t wait! Stay tuned to see which country I’ll be crossing off my list… and… what I’ll end up eating. 😆🍽️🌎

Sometimes love isn’t about finding the right person… it’s about finding them at the right time. 🫶🏼

Billy + Des first met in middle school and started dating their senior year of high school. They spent four years together before life took them in different directions.

Years later, fate brought them back together—and this time, it was forever. ✨

Timing really is everything. Sometimes you have to grow, chase your own dreams, and become the person you’re meant to be before you’re ready to fully choose each other. And when the timing is finally right… love has a beautiful way of finding its way back. ❤️

Tomorrow is Lass + Vanessa’s big day!💙 Flying all the way from the Bay 🌁, and of course we had to make sure their baby, Daz, was part of their engagement session. 🐾 I seriously can’t wait to celebrate these two tomorrow and capture the next chapter of their story. 🥰
