✨ **One of my biggest wedding-day planning tips: BUILD IN BUFFER TIME.** ✨
When you’re creating your wedding timeline, it can be so tempting to schedule everything back-to-back. Hair & makeup ➡️ details ➡️ first look ➡️ bridal party ➡️ family photos ➡️ ceremony ➡️ cocktail hour ➡️ reception…
But here’s the thing: **weddings rarely run perfectly on time — and that’s okay!** 🤍
I always say "It's your day and we are all just living in it." Take time to breath, guest waiting those extra few minutes will not kill them I promise!
Give yourself a little breathing room **between the “events” of your day.** Even 10–15 minutes of buffer time can make a HUGE difference.
Why?
📸 Your photographer has time to capture all those beautiful little moments without rushing.
💍 If hair & makeup runs a little behind, your entire timeline doesn’t immediately fall apart.
👰🏼♀️ You have time to put your dress on, take a breath, and soak in the moment.
🥂 You can actually enjoy cocktail hour instead of spending the entire time being pulled from one photo to the next.
💕 Your family and bridal party have time to get where they need to be without everyone feeling stressed.
And most importantly… **your wedding day should FEEL like your wedding day — not a race against the clock.**
When I help my couples plan their photography timeline, I always want to make sure we’re leaving room for the unexpected. Because some of the sweetest moments happen in those little pockets of time you didn’t plan for. ✨
So when you’re building your wedding timeline, don’t just ask, *“How much time do we need?”*
Also ask, **“Where can we give ourselves a little breathing room?”** 🤍
Trust me — your future, less-stressed wedding-day self will thank you. 🥹✨
