Most landscape contractors market like everyone is ready to buy.

Except they aren't. They have to go through stages of awareness before they really have confidence to commit on a project.

Here's the stages homeowners will go through:

-Unaware their backyard could be better.
-Problem aware (“We don’t use this space.”)
-Solution aware (“Maybe we need a patio.”)
-Product aware (“We need a paver patio.”)
-Fully aware (“We want XYZ Landscaping.”)

If all your content screams “Book a design consult,” you’re skipping steps and missing opportunity.

You should have photos, videos and messaging that moves the client through each of these stages.

This is when your content becomes strategic instead of sporadic.

Is your sales team equipped for success as well as the crew with the new truck or skid steer on the jobsite?

If your marketing tools don’t spark curiosity, build confidence, and reinforce that you’re the clear choice, your sales team is fighting uphill. And if sales slow down, that shiny equipment gets a lot harder to justify.

Effective marketing really comes down to two things:
generate leads and help close sales.

Generating revenue doesn’t start in the field.
It starts when someone decides to trust you.

Photos and video for your landscape business aren’t fluff. They’re sales tools. They should function the same way a skid steer does: making the job faster, smoother, and more profitable.

If they’re not helping you generate leads or close work, sure, question the ROI.
But if they are, they’re not an expense, they’re leverage that grows your bottom line.

Landscapers often say their work speaks for itself. And to a degree, it does.

But what really moves the needle is when a client explains why they chose you in the first place.

In this testimonial we made for , the homeowner talks about the real issue they were facing: not knowing where to start, feeling unsure about who to trust, wanting a clear plan. What stands out isn’t just that the project turned out well. It’s that Roots Wild solved the uncertainty. They brought clarity, direction, and a process that made the decision feel safe.

That’s powerful, especially right now. We’re operating in a trust recession.

Everyone claims quality and says they care but those words are easy to ignore.

But when a homeowner calmly explains why this company was the clear choice and how the process removed doubt, it does something your own marketing can’t. It builds trust faster and reinforces that choosing you isn’t a risk.

You’re not just showing the finished space. You’re showing that you solve the right problem and that makes commitment a whole lot easier.

If you want to build trust faster so you can attract better projects and better clients, we should talk.

HOT TAKE: A new logo isn’t the same thing as a beautiful image of your work.

Sit down with a client and show them your logo…

Then show them a dialed-in photo of a finished patio at sunset.

Which one makes them lean in and say, “Tell me more”?

Logos don’t create curiosity like images do.

If you don’t have strong visuals of the problems you solve, don’t rush into a rebrand. Invest in proof first.

Great images aren’t decoration. They’re sales tools.

They should spark curiosity, build trust, and make commitment easier.

Better images → better expectations → better jobs.

Are you showing your landscape crews in action?

If not, you're missing an opportunity to show customers (as well as possible recruits) a glimpse into what it's like to work with your landscape company.

It takes planning and patience to get the shots that really shine. You shouldn't have to deal with another logistic to fold into an already busy schedule. With a photographer that really understands the landscape industry, you won't have to.

You can keep doing things the way you always have: describing your work and hoping clients “get it.”

Or you can show them with visuals that instantly build trust, spark emotion, and make closing deals easier.

You shouldn’t lose a sale because a prospect gets bogged down in plant names or paver specs. Too much detail too early burns mental energy and kills momentum before it even starts.

Now imagine showing beautiful images that place them inside the landscape of their dreams. They can’t unsee it. They won’t forget it.

Show your value with visuals that speak louder than words and watch prospects lean in.

What’s your time worth?

If you’re spending hours every week making posts, that’s time you’re not leading crews, serving clients, or running your business.

The truth: great marketing is important, but you don’t have to do it all yourself.

CM Images creates photos and videos that make your brand stand out and your sales easier, so you can focus on what you do best.
