I guess in a nutshell, this was a second coming….

In 2009 I checked into to the Rockford Center to get a handle on my mental health and substance abuse issues. Today I got to return and celebrate their 50 year anniversary and share as a guest speaker.
What’s even better is in the same month Pedro was a guest at the first all in Spanish TEDx at Theatre N with his focus piece on mental health.

When I was finished, I got to talk to so many people that thanked me shared some of their experiences. That did feel good, but what’s even better is I knowing Pedro got to experience the same.

Us two on the other end of the camera is probably the most uncomfortable thing for us, but for causes like this I’m glad we’re both able to do it for both the English and Spanish speaking communities.

“Christmas with the boyz”

I’ve taken a lot of photos this year, but this one is my favorite. This moment frozen in time reminds me that it was all worth it.
