One choice.
One story told a thousand different ways. 🍎
Some are bright with promise, others hidden in shadow, all asking the same quiet question: which one will you take?
Today, I no longer fear solitude.
I found myself in the silence.
My thoughts were never meant to be straight.
They twisted around old memories,
wrapped themselves around fear,
and tied knots around dreams
I was too afraid to reach for.
Perhaps healing was never about
finding a new version of myself.
Perhaps it was always about
remembering the one
who was there all along.
The rope was never around my hands.
It was around my voice.
Around the words I swallowed,
the truths I was afraid to speak,
the dreams I convinced myself were too distant to reach.
The apple rested against my lips—
temptation, knowledge, hunger,
a reminder that silence can become its own prison.
We all carry knots no one else can see.
Some are woven from fear.
Some from grief.
Some from the stories we keep telling ourselves.
But every knot has an end.
The first bite was never about hunger.
It was about choosing.
Choosing curiosity over fear.
