I love doing online puzzles, so I thought I’d try my hand at making my own puzzles from photographs and artwork submitted by photographers and artists around the world.

It has been a long while since I have been back to my puzzle page. Just an update on my wife, Michelle: SHE HAS A NEW LIVER!!!
After receiving 6 previous liver offers and having all 6 deemed not viable for one reason or another, we received liver offer #7 on Tuesday, June 30th. At 11:45 pm that evening, they wheeled her into surgery. The surgery took 8 hours, but everything went very well. She was taken to the transplant ICU (standard procedure for all transplant patients.) She slept most of the first day out of surgery. They had many tubes coming out of her, all over her body. She was on some really heavy pain medicine. Needless to say, between the anesthesia effects and pain medicine, she was feeling just fine. Every time she woke up, she would start yelling to anybody who would listen, “I got a new liver!” It gave the nurses quite a chuckle. One of the nurses had white hair. Michelle started crying, grabbed her arm, and said, “Thank you angel.” She really thought she was an angel from heaven.
Today is Day 2. Michelle is doing really well. They took out a lot of the tubes from her body. She sat in a chair for about 3 hours. Now, this evening, they are moving her out of the transplant ICU to a regular room on the transplant floor.
It has been a very long, very exhausting road we have been on. Many hurdles we had to face. I know this new road will not be easy, but it starts a new chapter in our lives. There are so many problems that can arise from receiving a transplanted organ (the biggest one is rejection,) but we will take it day by day.
Thanks to everyone who sent prayers or reached out to check in to see how I was doing. My biggest thanks goes to the donor and his/her family for this incredible gift. If you are not an organ donor, please consider it. Your donation may give someone a second chance at life.

I want to wish everyone a Happy Holiday season! My partner, Michelle, was finally put on the liver transplant list. Three days later, we got the call that there was a liver available. After hours of waiting, it turned out the liver was not viable. As we were getting ready to drive out of the hospital parking garage to go back home, we received another call for another possible liver. After hours of waiting, this liver, also, was not viable. So we are home, just waiting. We are praying for a Christmas miracle!
And as you can see, Khaleesea is a year old. Her absolute favorite toys are her Lambchops, known to her as “lambies.” She hopes Santa brings all of your puppies a “lambie” all their own!
