I had the pleasure of meeting the Haake family for pictures. From the moment we started, I felt right at home. With three boys of their own (just like me!), I completely understood when the youngest was jumping off the posing box, the boys were collecting sticks, and everyone had a little extra energy to burn. šŸ˜‚

Honestly, it took me right back to the good old days when my own boys were that age. Those moments of curiosity, adventure, and a little bit of chaos are all part of the story, and theyā€™re some of my favorite memories to capture.

Ten years ago..I had the honor of photographing Bobbie Jo and Vinceā€™s wedding day. Yesterday, I got to celebrate right alongside them as they marked another anniversary with a session filled with laughter, love, and all the little moments that make them..them.

To make the evening even more special..they brought along the song from their wedding day. As it played, they took a moment to reminisce about their first dance as husband and wife; a full-circle moment that had all of us smiling.

And because every great anniversary deserves a little extra celebration..we ended the evening by popping a bottle of champagne and spraying it everywhere! šŸ˜‚ It may have gotten a little messy, but it was the perfect way to celebrate a decade of marriage.

Some evenings just come together perfectly.

We found the prettiest golden light tucked among the pine trees, spent the evening exploring, laughing, and occasionally seeing just how good Kiennaā€™s balance really is. šŸ˜‚

We also made sure to incorporate her FFA jacket; a nod to the hard work, leadership, and dedication sheā€™s poured into the Harlan FFA chapter. A program thatā€™s been such an important part of her high school years.

The result? A gallery full of sunshine, confidence, personality, and all the excitement that comes with senior year. Kienna, you were a joy to photograph and I canā€™t wait for you to see the rest of your images!

This session was filled with cousins giggling, siblings snuggling, and plenty of laughter in between. There may have been a little sweating, a little bribery, and a lot of ā€œjust one more picture!ā€ - but thatā€™s all part of the fun when you get a big family together.

Iā€™ve had the pleasure of photographing each of these little cousins over the years, but this was my first time getting them all together in front of my camera at once. Seeing them interact, laugh, and make memories together made this session extra special.

What an incredible thing to see a whole family grown from the love between Ann and Chuck. Their legacy is living proof that the best things in life multiply - especially when it comes to family.

At her 3 month session, she wanted absolutely nothing to do with pictures šŸ˜‚ But this time? Mostly smiles, sweet little expressions, and so much personality. Meet Emily-Harlanā€™s Myrtue Medical Center New Yearā€™s baby!

This sweet girlā€™s session came a little later than planned after bravely enduring eye surgery early in her tiny little life. But youā€™d never know it by her happy smiles and spunky personality.

Emily spent most of her session proudly showing off the newest discovery of her world..her tongue šŸ˜‚ Every time we thought we had a serious photo, there it was again.

And those baby glasses?! Absolutely adorable. Between the tiny frames, squishy cheeks, and all her tongue-out expressions..she completely stole the show.

Maddy and Nateā€™s evening felt like something that didnā€™t need to be staged or styled to be beautiful-it just was. The sun hung low and soft, the kind of golden light that makes everything feel a little slower, a little more meaningful. No wind, no rush, just the two of them moving together like it was second nature.

There was laughter in the quiet moments and that easy kind of closeness that doesnā€™t ask for attention-it simply exists. The way they looked at each other made everything else fade into the background, like the world had agreed to step aside for a while.

These images are a glimpse into that feeling: warm, effortless, and full of the kind of love that doesnā€™t need convincing.
