Give me a good storm after the calm. Give me the after party.

When everyone else is ready to head home, I’m ready to stay. This is where the night gets good. The music gets louder, the dancing gets better, the shoes come off, and everyone finally lets loose.

These are the moments that may be some of the most forgettable in the moment, but they will become some of the most memorable photographs you have from your wedding day.

I want to be right there in the middle of it with you, beat bopping around the dance floor, catching the laughs, the crazy dance moves, the hugs, the happy tears, and all the little moments happening between the people who came to celebrate you.

Your wedding reception isn’t something I want to simply document. I want to experience it with you.

And when you look back at your gallery years from now, I want you to be relieved you hired the photographer who stayed for the good stuff.

Almost four months later, and I’m still thinking about The Winstead wedding reception.

There's something so special about a hardworking blue-collar man and the beautiful, gentle woman by his side, building a life and family together. Some wedding days stay with you forever, and this was one of them. It was such an honor to witness the beginning of Jamie and Dalton’s forever and to capture every beautiful moment along the way.

Getting to know these two throughout the entire process has truly meant so much to me. They are the sweetest souls, so full of love, kindness, and genuine joy, and being trusted to document such a meaningful season in their lives will always hold a precious place in my heart.

Jamie and Dalton, congratulations on the start of your forever. Your love is something truly special, and I am so thankful I got to be a small part of your day.

Camera in hand, I stood just behind it all guiding when needed, stepping back when the moment spoke for itself. After the wedding, everything softened. The light faded into the most perfect golden glow, and the rush of the day turned into something quiet and slow.

The delicate gown moved gently in the breeze, her radiant smile still full of that just-married joy. I watched the way they looked at each other, the calm after all the excitement, the kind of moments no one else really notices. It felt peaceful, like time paused for just a second.

Each frame I captured told a story of love and celebration, filled with quiet, emotional, real moments, preserved to be felt for a lifetime. It’s more than taking pictures. It’s feeling every moment right along with them, just from a step behind.Can we say dreamy!?

Can't wait to get back and get the sneak peeks edited! Jamie and Dalton were a dream to work with!
