We all know that pregnancy is usually a time of celebration. New life is created. Families grow. New beginnings. It can also be a time of sadness and mourning. Miscarriages. Stillborns. Going home empty handed. This story is a tale of sadness turned joy that truly shows the goodness and miracles of God.

This sweet lady is one of my dearest friends. About a year ago we did her maternity photos for sweet Koen, her sweet baby boy who only lived a few hours after being born due to a developmental defect in the womb. Today we are doing maternity photos and celebrating the arrival for her sweet baby girl Reece.

In all of life's happiness there is also sadness and it all deserves to be seen.

God is so good!
