I'm Don, a local pro capturing our community at its best—from the studio to 300ft up. Proudly Veteran-own I've been in love with photography since I first held my mother's 35mm film camera in the mid 1970's. I "borrowed" that camera when I went off to college and used it all over Europe and Southwest Asia while serving serving as an officer in the Army. While I am now a Photoshop expert, and love

to create art through the manipulation of photos, I still follow the basics of photography that I learned while shooting on film and before it was feasible to shoot 1,000 shots in a few hours. I select my shots wisely, zoom with my feet, and try to make every shot count. While I'm not shooting for other people and shooting for myself, I love to shoot landscapes and wildlife. You can't beat a Piedmont Triad sunrise. 🌅

I was out early last Sunday capturing some architectural progress and skyline assets for a commercial project nearby, and I couldn't help but stop the drone sequence when the golden hour light hit the brand-new development over at The Lindley

The first image shows the clean skyline view of downtown Greensboro from that morning, and the accompanying 30-second teaser video tracks right over the new property's rooflines.

Hawthorne Residential Partners is putting the absolute final touches on this massive luxury addition to our residential landscape just in time for their Summer 2026 opening.

It’s always a privilege to document how fast our regional corridors are growing. If you’re passing by Lindley Lofts Drive, keep your eyes up—this corner of the city is looking sharp.

Close enough to feel the spray. 🛶

A low-level "Nap of the Earth" cinematic run over the South Fork of the New River in Crumpler, NC. Flying at 10 feet to capture the raw texture of the water and the serenity of the valley in front of Dusty Trails Outfitters. Immediately after, Dusty Trails Outfitters hauled me and a kayak up river for my first fishing float of the year. Great to be back!

This 4K production features a custom soundscape blending ambient river audio with cinematic scoring to bring the High Country to life.

I went into downtown West Jefferson at 6:00 AM chasing a sunrise, but the mountains had other plans. While the sun stayed hidden behind the ridges, the full moon took center stage over the valley.

There is a specific five-minute window during the blue hour where the streetlights and the moonlight find a perfect balance. It’s the quietest, most cinematic moment in the High Country.

Most people are still sleeping at 4:30 AM, but for high-stakes construction documentation, that’s when the work begins.

I captured this cinematic progress update for the Sandy Ridge project. Launching the drone into that crisp morning air and seeing this site evolve is exactly why I do what I do.

Professional, FAA-licensed drone cinematography for commercial and residential partners across Greensboro and Winston-Salem.

The alarm goes off at 4:30am, and out the door by 5:15am.

Most people see the finished cinematic progress updates, but they don't see the 45-minute drive in the dark or the 45deg morning air. Even after years of flying, I still get goosebumps the second that drone clears the tree line and I see the scale of what we’re documenting.

Here is the latest look at the progress of a client site—a blend of high-end construction documentation and time-lapse cinematography.

🏗️ SITE UPDATE: Greensboro Multifamily Construction Progress.

Fresh off the drone from yesterday’s bi-weekly flyover. This Greensboro site is taking shape fast, with a major milestone officially in view: 50% of the sod is now installed. 🌿

For project managers and stakeholders monitoring this build from a distance, these high-resolution updates are the "Ground Truth."

What we’re tracking in this update:
✅ Finishing stages of sod and landscaping installation.
✅ Final structural detailing and exterior progress.
✅ Active site coordination and material staging.

We provide the eyes on the ground so you can verify milestones and manage your Triad builds from anywhere.

Transformation Tuesday: High Point Luxury Foyer ✨

It’s not just a photo—it’s a transformation.

To capture this grand entrance correctly, I used a specialized Shift Lens to keep the architectural lines perfectly straight from the marble floor to the ceiling. No distortion, no "leaning" walls—just pure, high-end precision.

But because the camera can't see exactly how our eyes see, I apply my Signature Edit and reveal the true potential of this space. When you're listing at this level, "good enough" isn't an option. You need the Gold Standard.
