Effective immediately, I am making a HUGE change at Barefoot & Wild Photo... I will no longer be posting identifiable images of children on my social media page, period. Signed release or not, if a photo includes a child's face, it will be blurred. You will receive all your photos of your children as usual, I just will hide their sweet little faces in my own posts.

​This decision comes after following recent legal rulings, including a sickening 7th Circuit Court of Appeals decision regarding AI-generated child images that make it clear the law is completely failing to protect our kids from what technology can do with their faces online.

​As a mother, I refuse to be part of the problem. I don't even share my own children's faces on public platforms, and I damn sure won't put your babies at risk for the sake of social media views or business reach.

​Will this affect how my portfolio looks? Probably.

​Do I care? Not for one single second.

​The safety and privacy of our children will always come before my business. End of story. Love you guys & your precious, sweet babies. ❤️

Quick surgery & Scheduling Update! 🌸

​Hi everyone! I wanted to let you know that I am officially home recovering from a pretty big pelvic surgery.

Things ended up being a bit more complex inside than my surgeon anticipated, but everything went wonderfully and I am officially at home and resting!

​To make sure I heal properly, I will be stepping back and taking things very slow over the next 2 weeks:

​✨ Inquiries & Emails: Replies might be a little delayed while I rest, but I will get back to you as soon as I can.

✨ Current Clients: All existing bookings are being taken care of, I will reach out individually if we need to let you know if there will be any delays with editing.

​A Note on Meals & Support:
Several of you have reached out asking how you can help our family while I recover. Please do not feel like you need to at all, but for those who have asked, a Meal Train has been set up! It allows for meal sign-ups as well as sending food gift cards if you’d prefer not to bring a physical meal. Feel free to send me a direct message if you would like the link!

Hiiiii my beautiful clients ♥️

​I wanted to hop on here and share a little update on what’s going on behind the scenes.

Tomorrow, I’m having surgery related to my ongoing journey with secondary infertility and reproductive health issues. It’s been a heavy road, but I’m hopeful this step brings healing and answers!

​Because of this, I won't be photographing any sessions through the rest of August, but I’ll be back behind the camera starting early September!

​Here is what you need to know while I rest up:
​Current Galleries: I will still be editing from bed! Expect your full galleries delivered right on schedule.

​New Bookings: I am actively booking fall and winter dates! Feel free to reach out anytime via email or message me on here.

I've been doing so many in home newborn sessions lately, and im lovvvving every single one!
This sweet mama was my son’s PT. Her patience and kindness meant everything to us... he even nicknamed her "my beautiful doctor." (he couldn't remember her name, so this is what he picked LOL) Today, I got to love on her little one and capture their in home newborn session.
Feeling so grateful for full circle moments like this, and all the different ways clients come into my life. 🤍

There is something so sacred about stepping into a family’s home during those first tender days postpartum. (these were 3 days PP)

You’re recovering. You’re nursing around the clock, living in comfortable clothes, wearing postpartum diapers, and just trying to navigate this whole new world on very little sleep. To be welcomed into your safe space during such a vulnerable season is an honor I never take for granted. My goal is always to make you feel seen, cared for, and reminded of just how radiant you are right now, exactly as you are.

And please hear me on this... your house does not need to be spotless.

You don't need to deep clean, declutter, or worry about the laundry basket in the corner. We don't need a picture perfect showroom. All we need is a cozy corner, a bit of soft window light, and the love already filling your room.
