Grief is all the love we can no longer give. It’s different each and every day 🕊️
Today marks 3 years since I lost my sister and nephew. They were hit by a drunk driver that night on their way back home. The weight of that night still lingers in each day, and I know it always will.
Our family’s situation has given me “new eyes” when it comes to seeing life in general and especially with my photography. Photography began as a creative outlet that I fell in love with, and my sister was one of the people who encouraged me most to pursue it.
Over time, I’ve found myself feeling an overwhelming amount of gratitude for what I get to do. It’s become so much more than being creative. It’s about capturing the little moments in time that may seem so minor right now. It’s the giggles in between shots. It’s the wedding day details that weren’t even on your shot list but somehow become your favorite photo because they capture you simply being in the moment.
I carry the weight of every session and wedding with me. Knowing just how valuable a moment can be, sometimes before you even realize it yourself, is such a gift.
I wanted to share a little piece of my heart and a part of the reason I do photography today. My experiences have shaped the way I see my work, and I truly believe God has used something I love to give me a deeper understanding of just how meaningful it is.
All of this to say, please take the pictures. 🤍 I cannot express how much each booking means to me.
