$4.59 a gallon. $122.12 at the pump. And groceries and the electric bill still coming.
Standing here, I’m thinking about my fellow Americans who are working hard and still wondering how they’re going to make everything stretch until payday. The parents doing math in the grocery aisle. The folks putting in just enough gas to get to work. The families opening an electric bill with a knot in their stomach.
Food, gas, and electricity shouldn’t leave us wondering how we’re going to afford the rest of life.
If you’re feeling that pressure, my heart goes out to you. There’s no shame in struggling, and your hard work isn’t worth any less because your paycheck doesn’t go far enough.
Be kind to each other. You never know who’s holding everything together by a thread. 🇺🇸
