So often, they're the one taking the pictures, capturing their kids as they grow, while rarely stepping into the frame themselves. These photos from a recent single mom session are a reminder of why I offer these shoots.

I was a single mom myself, and I know how much it takes to raise a family on your own. When you’re making every dollar count, professional photos can feel out of reach. Single moms hold a special place in my heart, and this is one way I can give back to the women in my community. Each season, I offer $50 single mom sessions. They’re about 10 minutes long, scheduled back-to-back, and I deliver as many images as I can from each session. Sometimes that’s 10, sometimes it’s 30—it depends on what we capture together.

You don’t have to wait until life feels less busy or everything looks perfect. Your children love you right now, just as you are. You deserve photographs that show the love you share. And let's be real, you know as well as I do how fast those kids change and grow.

I shoot these sessions called End of Life shoots (for pets).
If you come to my studio it's $50 and I'll give you all the images I can. If I am coming to your house (and the dogs are safe for me to be around) then I charge $222. You get as many good images as I can get.
If I am coming into your home, the images will be more lifestyle based than posed. I also have to consider how the pet is feeling and its ability to sit and pose even. We work around his/her needs.
This is a discounted rate from my normal work but it's important to me because pets are like kids. They truly don't ask for much of anything except our love. They are the sweetest blessings. The ones who witness our days quietly. Who sit with us as we cry or feel loss. They offer their gentle comforts: a kiss on the ear, a nibble, a snif while you cry.
They absorb so much of our energy, and while we have a whole world outside of our home, we are their entire world.
