"Belted Kingfisher Female" is available now.

No context included today, I wonder what meaning you would give this artwork.

This was my first capture of a Belted Kingfisher. This female only stands about six inches tall, and they feed on fish. This one was hard to catch because she didn't sit in any one place for long. They will dive into water to catch fish, much like some larger fish eating birds. This image taken on St. Mary's Lake at the University of Notre Dame
