I know it’s fall, but I had to share this session from the summer.

This sweet family came up from Chicago to spend time together at Clearwater Historic Lodge & Canoe Outfitters, and I loved getting to capture a little piece of their vacation.

So much laughter, playing, and simply enjoying being together. These are the kinds of memories I love documenting.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mamas around the world 🤍

Motherhood has made me understand and appreciate my own mother in a completely different way. It’s taught me patience, empathy, resilience, and how much love can exist in the smallest everyday moments. It’s also made me want to leave this world a little softer, kinder, and better for my children and for yours.

Today I’m thinking of all the mothers: the ones in the thick of it, the exhausted ones, the joyful ones, the grieving ones, the hopeful ones, and the women who mother in so many different ways.

I celebrate you and honor you for all the love, care, sacrifice, and invisible work that so often goes unnoticed. I pray we get to watch our children grow, become who they’re meant to be, and know how deeply they were loved every step of the way.

Coldest weekend in January? Yep.
Worth it? Absolutely.

These legends came from Indiana, leaned into the freeze, and we had the BEST time. Winter is so underrated!!! More people need to give this season a chance.
