Imagine this... You're on the couch. Nickelodeon is on. Your toddler is "reading" a book upside down and you're half watching, half scrolling through facebook, wondering if this is really what you'll remember.

It is.... and you don't have to imagine it because this is exactly what your life looks like right now.

Huth Road families, Moving Up Day is 8 days away and I still have a few spots left for 5th grade mini sessions. I know this week is already a lot but this one is worth squeezing in.

The ceremony wraps at noon and sessions start at 2:00pm so you have the whole morning and lunch to celebrate as a family before you even have to think about photos. 10 minutes, $50, and 5 beautiful edited images of your kid on one of the biggest days of their elementary school life. 📸

They are dressed up, they are proud, they are on a high from being celebrated all morning. This is the one day they actually WANT their photo taken. Don't let it pass without a real photo to show for it. 🥂

Not words you ever expect to hear. 😂

My daughter Harper was about three years old. I was cleaning the kitchen and from the living room I heard her little voice call out:

I had no idea what was happening in that living room. I just know that I laughed so hard!

And here is the thing. That moment would never happen in a perfectly posed and polished session with a photographer. Nobody plans for that. Nobody could.

It only happens when you are just living your life.

That is exactly what I am there for when I come film your family. Not the version of your day that looks good on command. The real version. The weird requests and the inside jokes and the completely unpredictable things your kids say and do when they are just being themselves in their own home.

Summer in my house is the wild west. 😂

Kids sleeping in until whenever and staying up way too late. Hockey is technically winding down but nobody told our schedule that. We are still in the car constantly and on the days we are not I am negotiating screen time with one of them while the other is already pulling me toward the next thing we are doing together.

But here is why this is actually the perfect time for a family film. 💛

Late sunsets. Kids who are completely themselves without a school schedule telling them where to be. Lazy mornings and busy afternoons and sibling inside jokes and car conversations and that golden evening light that only exists in summer.

Three years ago when I started Infinite Legacy, this is not the business I thought I was building. 💛

I actually set out to make legacy films. The kind where you sit down with an older parent or grandparent, interview them about their whole life, and turn it into something their family keeps forever.

I made a couple of those early on and I loved them.

Then I stumbled into a class taught by Courtney Holmes that led me to the Filming Life Academy, where I have now been a member for over two years. And it cracked something wide open in me.

Because the thing I loved most about legacy films, holding onto someone's voice and movement before it is gone, does not have to wait until someone is old.

It is happening right now. In your living room. With your kids who are only this little today.

So that became the work. And I have never looked back. 💛
