For 40 years, the traditional Oslo trams have warmed the hearts of Oslo citizens. Now they will heat homes and cabins of Jøtul wood stoves and fireplace owners instead.
But what happens when you have to get rid of 22 tons of trams?
Parts of it can be recycled, melted down, and get a new life
in Jøtul products.
The tram has now started its journey towards Fredrikstad, and will eventually arrive as recycled iron from Stene Stål Gjenvinning to Jøtul.
Quite fascinating and impressive!

In rural British Columbia, this weekend retreat is all camp vibes for a couple and their three children. The home’s V-shaped layout embraces a central courtyard, and opens to postcard views of Skaha Lake beyond. “It’s like the two wings are capturing the heart of the home,” says architect and long-time family friend . One arm is public and one is private: “When we’re hosting friends or extended family for the weekend, the design is really conducive to hanging out together,” says owner Craig Cameron. “But there are times when I just want to go sit and read a book.
