If you love these photos, I need to let you in on all the “secrets” ✨ be present. Be playful. Pretend I’m not there and treat your family photos as a fun family adventure. I promise I’ll shout out some suggestions if you freeze, like a silly game of ring around the rosy.

Not sure what to wear? Message me! This mama sent me texts and we curated the perfect family outfits. Mom even remembered bike shorts under the girls dresses which are key! All outfits were locally sourced and didn’t break the bank.

GET IN THE WATER! 💦 yes you’ll leave all salty and wet but that’s what towels and a change of comfy clothes (even pajamas) waiting in the car are for!

The last tip which is a non negotiable is that these photos were taken at golden hour. This is especially important at the beach. If you want photos consistent with my portfolio, soft golden light, and sun setting skies, it has to be the hour before sunset. Trust me, your kiddos will be able to hang! And if they absolutely can’t, fall beach minis or a studio session are always an option.

June beach sessions are *chefs kiss* 👌🏼 perfection. I may be biased about June since it’s my birth month and all, but it truly is special. The tourists haven’t landed yet, the beach crowds are still low, and I think we can all agree, those first warm days hit different and we remember why we tolerate living here all winter long ✨ more nights like this please and thank you!

After what felt like a very gloomy and rainy weekend Mother Nature sure showed up for golden hour ☀️ my daughter found every dandelion in our yard and humored me for a photo (very rare these days!)

I have no idea what she wished for, but I hope it was 10000000 more summer nights like this 🤞🏼 barefoot finding flowers in our backyard, ice cream leftovers on her chin and cheeks + warm glowing sunlight just before a pink sunset letting us know tomorrow will be another beautiful day

One of the best and hardest parts of this job is keeping so many secrets 🙊 I am always so honored to be asked to help share the news of a baby and it’s even more special when it’s for friends. It feels very fitting my husband and I are celebrating 20 years of officially “dating” next month and remembering it all began in Danny D’s backyard (probably listening to gangstas paradise) and now I get to help them share a big milestone! Studio motherhood sessions are 🙌🏼 I absolutely loved that my client had her mom join us - we had such a fun girls morning. The sun was shining and the temps were above 50° but we rocked out to jingle bells per big sister’s request and captured all of these sweet moments!

I think I know 2 things for sure: beach sessions hold my heart. Nothing fills my cup more than golden hour on the beach. Coming home covered in sand and salt water after chasing your little ones for those candid, joyful images I beam with excitement editing. I love golden light, splashing in the water, and photos of families in motion.

I wasn’t sure how I was going to translate that joy into studio work. But the second thing I’m sure of is that I love kids personality photos. I love the blank white canvas of my studio and I love highlighting all the tiny details of your child exactly where they are right now: missing teeth, chipped piggy paint nail polish, dinosaur socks, stacked beaded bracelets, chubby hands, silly faces. I want to capture it all and the stillness of the studio (which is something I feared) is exactly the place for it. I love capturing kids personalities and being able to freeze those moments in time. As a mom, I know how fleeting those moments can be. I still can’t understand how my daughter has adult teeth and no longer has chubby cheeks. But I’m so thankful I have photos to look back on so those tiny milestones are preserved not only in my mind or on my iPhone but framed in our house.

I cannot wait to get on the beach, but in the meantime, I’m finding my joy in studio sessions ❤️

I had to hop on this trend 🥹 because younger me would have never believed it.

On the days where I feel like I’m doing everything wrong, researching what an LLC is, panicking about taxes, worried I missed a step, crying about technical difficulties, deleting my entire website by accident (true story, still figuring it out 🤪) ALL while balancing motherhood … it’s important to remember that I *am* making it happen. My dreams did come true. To the little me that nearly failed math every year- YOU OWN 2 BUSINESSES 👏🏼 and you get to hang with the coolest families at beautiful locations and call it work!
