"Dropping Anchor in the Afterlife" Gilford NH

On this Memorial Day I wanted to say thank you to all who have and are serving. This image seemed fitting for this day. When I shot this in Smith Cove Gilford NH.
I would like to think that if there is an afterlife, this is how it would be.

Black n White and a combination of ICM and still captures made this image come together for what I was seeing at the time of setting up. While not for everybody I feel it's important to try and stay creative expressing your vision and stepping out of your comfort zone. Enjoy the Long weekend everyone.

Gilford NH sunrise
Going through some images today and saw this sunrise shot from last year, I posted a similar one but a different composition. Had wanted to get out yesterday to do some shooting but I have been occupied with a new kitten!!! and in complete love. will post in the comments for anyone interested in meeting her. A mix of storm clouds and soft streaks in the sky made for an interesting sunset the other night on the Lake. A few more days and it will be flip flop weather, can't come soon enough! Have a great rest of your week everyone

Signs of Summer Tuftonboro NH
We had a few nice Sunsets last week and I was able to get out to capture some of them around the Lake. The boats are slowly filling the docks and marinas a sure sign that summer is almost here. Its been awhile since I have posted, April was a busy month for shooting events as well as my annual NH conference, more on that later, I have been getting out to shoot and will be posting. Harmony Park Alton Bay NH
While still able to walk on the frozen Lake safely I was able to set up and capture this location on the Bay as the sun was coming up the other morning. I have shot this scene a few times but never at a lower angle to include the snow covered lake in the foreground. It won't be long before we see open water again. Now if it would stop snowing that would be great! while I love shooting snow scenes Im ready for spring. Have a great weekend!

Yesterday morning around 6:30 the warmer temps provided some great fog around the Lakes Region, while it didn't last long it made for a great hour capturing some locations. Had hoped for a bit more color during the sunrise but was happy with the small sliver of pink in the background. Enjoy the week as it looks to be in the high 60's, for a few days anyway.
