It’s an honor every single time someone trusts me to document a chapter of their life.

Motherhood. Fatherhood. The waiting.
They’re fleeting moments that deserve to be remembered exactly as they felt…

…and this night felt like a memory before it was one 🤍

🌼 MOTHERS DAY FLASH SALE 🌼

Everything we do is rooted from our mothers 🌎

The way we love, the way we show up, the way we hold onto the moments that matter… it all begins with them. And as we step into motherhood ourselves, we start to understand just how much of who we are has been shaped by the quiet, steady love we were given.

But somehow… moms are almost never in the photos.

They’re the ones behind the camera. The ones capturing the laughter, the milestones, the tiny in-between moments that make up a life. They’re preserving the memories for everyone else. And the truth is.. these seasons of our lives move too quickly.

The little hands, the sleepy snuggles, the way they reach for you without thinking… one day, those moments become memories. Photographs give us the chance to freeze time.. to hold onto what it felt like, to come back years later and feel the warmth, the chaos, the love… the nostalgia of what will one day be known as the best years of our lives as mothers.

You deserve to be in those memories, too.

From April 11th - 16th I’m offering $75 off any session as a small way to make that happen. So you can step into the frame, be seen, and be remembered right alongside the people you love most.

First fireside chat in the books and my heart and soul are filled to the brim 😌

The driving force behind this event was to create a community, cultivate connection and hold a space to support one another as small business owners and creatives.

Thank you to everyone who came out and big thanks to for teaming up and making this all happen with me! 🫶🏼

So excited for this crossroad of creatives! 🫶🏼

💛 LIVCO LOCALS 💛

It truly takes all kinds of people to make Livingston County what it is, and we’d love to hear your story.

LivCo Locals is a storytelling series created by and for the people who call this place home. Whether you grew up here, moved here, built a business here, or simply hold special memories here. If LivCo has been part of your journey, we want to know what you love about it.

Stories will be shared through photo, video and writing and featured in our magazine, on our website, and across social media.

The first step is filling out the application. From there, you’ll be added to our list of locals, and we’ll be reaching out throughout the year to connect and share your story.

We can’t wait to learn more about the people who make LivCo so special 💛

Hey, I’m Carly! The face behind the camera and this platform.

I’m a photographer.
A musician.
A forest school teacher.
And a mother.

My work is rooted in connection.. to art, to music, to the land, and to people. I use photography and storytelling to reflect humanity back to itself. I share music to build bridges. I teach children about natural resources and conservation so they grow up understanding stewardship, community, and their own power to think critically and choose for themselves.

I was told these weren’t “real” careers. That they wouldn’t pay the bills. That I should choose something safer and quieter. I didn’t listen and I’m grateful every day that I didn’t. Because I know in my bones that this is what I’m meant to do.

I love my work. I love being a mother. I love my son more than anything. I love my community and my neighbors.

And that’s exactly why I refuse to stay silent.
Because while we’re told to mind our own business, families are being torn apart. Hardworking people parents, artists, educators, caregivers are being taken from their homes. Public lands and animal sanctuaries are being handed over for profit and destruction. And people are being targeted, jailed, and killed simply because of the color of their skin.

This isn’t abstract. This is happening to real people. To good, kind, creative, empathetic humans who deserve safety, dignity, and a future.

Silence is complicity. Comfort is not neutrality.
We have a responsibility to speak up, to protect our communities, and to demand better from the systems meant to serve us.

Silence is not neutral.
Looking away is a choice.
Call your representatives.
Email them.
Show up.
Vote.
Protect your neighbors.
Defend the land.
We can — and must — do better.
