‼️ EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY ‼️
DuBose Home & Lens will no longer share identifiable images of children online or use them for promotional purposes.
This is a decision I have made very intentionally, and I will not be changing my mind.
AI has made it increasingly easy for innocent photos of children to be taken, altered, manipulated, and misused. As a photographer, I have a responsibility to the families who trust me with their memories — and protecting their children comes before anything else.
So, moving forward:
❤️ I WILL still photograph families.
❤️ I WILL still photograph newborns.
❤️ I WILL still photograph birthdays, milestones, and childhood memories.
❤️ You WILL still receive your full gallery exactly as you normally would.
The difference? Your child’s identifiable images will not be posted publicly.
No social media.
No website.
No advertisements.
No promotional content.
Could this affect my business?
Absolutely.
Could I lose engagement, referrals, or potential clients because I don’t have children’s faces filling my feed?
Maybe.
But here’s where I stand:
I would rather lose business than compromise the privacy and safety of a child.
I’m not willing to gamble with a child’s image for a like, a share, an inquiry, or a pretty Instagram feed.
Your family is trusting me with something incredibly personal. That trust matters more to me than marketing ever will.
I know not everyone will agree with this decision — and that’s okay.
But this is my business, my work, and my responsibility. And when it comes to protecting children, this is where I stand.
Children deserve to have a childhood that belongs to them — not one that is permanently available to the internet.
Thank you to every family who continues to trust me with their memories and supports DuBose Home & Lens. 🤍
The memories will still be captured.
The galleries will still be beautiful.
The difference is that some of those memories will stay where they belong — with your family.
