August so far: garden abundance, chicken babies, morning walks, animals, creative projects, fall garden prep, beauty.

I’ve been picking up my cameras again trying to tap into that part of my creativity. It’s a slow process and ‘slow creativity’ since I’m using film and I won’t see the results for several weeks maybe even months but I’m trusting the process.

We are headed into my absolute favorite month of all and I couldn’t be more excited about it.

Shared a few flavored simple syrup recipes on my blog recently. Great for homemade ‘sodas’ mocktails and cocktails.

Fresh and juicy plum paired with chocolate mint and peruvian mint from the garden to create this light and bright flavored simple syrup. Use it in mocktails, cocktails, homemade sodas, and flavored lemonade.

“Gratitude is the secret to a full life”. It’s taken me a solid 2 months of almost daily stitching to finish this piece. But daily stitching, especially first thing in the morning paired with an audiobook or meditation, particularly the DIs by To Be Magnetic l Neural Manifestation have been such a lovely way to start my days. Working with my hands to create something beautiful just for me has been much needed lately.
I plan on framing this but wanted to get it on the wall of my office area now so I can see it daily.

June so far. First herb and berry harvests coming in. Morning walks with the pup, a weekend trip to visit my mom, a nail in the boys tire, and lots of herb drying and processing. We’ve had predator issues this spring with our chickens and unfortunately lost most of our hens but got an automatic coop door and a new flock of chickens coming today. I’ve got several personal creative projects in the works. Life is good.
