A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to photograph the unveiling of a special quilt at Belle Grove Plantation.

The memorial honors the 270 individuals enslaved from the 1780s to the 1860s. It currently hangs in the Manor House.

New series: Locally Loved Sundays ✨

Eastham Park in Town of Front Royal, Virginia.

The bluebells are starting to show up at the park, tucked into the quiet corners if you slow down enough to notice (And brave the prickly growth along the path- just ask my leg).

It’s one of my favorite signs that spring is really here.

👋 Hi, friends! A little update. I’ve made a small change to my upcoming mini sessions:

• April 18 – Front Royal Riverwalk
• April 26 – Belle Grove Plantation (almost full)

I photograph this season every year, and every year someone messages me after and says, “I meant to book.”

These are quick, easy, and meant for real life, wiggly kids, in-between moments, all of it.

New series: Locally Loved Sundays ✨

Two Fat Butchers: This place feels like home to me.

It’s where I’ve stopped after a long week, taken Daisy Mae most Sundays before her death and treated myself to some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had.

And now they’re back.

Fresh barbecue, made on-site, every weekend again 🙌

There’s something special about small businesses that keep showing up for their community.
