Millie and I are camping by Trinity Lake enjoying a little peace and quiet. We pretty much have the whole campground to ourselves… well, except for the shoreline — somebody beat us to that spot! 😂

Everything is blooming, and the scent of the azaleas throughout the campground is incredible. The weather is beautiful, and it’s one of those perfect peaceful moments that just makes you appreciate the outdoors a little extra.

Took advantage of a break in the rain to get the dogs out for a walk up Clang Gulch Road. 🐾

Good company, beautiful skies, and that fresh, clean air after a storm… hard to beat a moment like that. Sometimes it’s the simple things that make the best days.

When Michael and I visited Cerro Gordo, it was owned by the son of the original owner. It has since been purchased by a young man who is a total adventurer and lover of history. He is diligently working to improve it and bring the history to the public. His name is Brent. He has a YouTube channel that is very interesting to watch. You can Google him and Cerro Gordo, and he pops right up!

Last week, my son and I traveled to the Oregon Coast. Of course, we didn't check the weather, and it rained on us the whole time. We made the best of it, donned rain jackets, and explored to our hearts' content. The wind and rain made it difficult to get photos without water spots on them. These are the few that made the cut.
