Day 77 of reviewing Ai and learning what it does and how it operates. As with any Ai, the program needs to be explored just like getting to know a person. How it reacts, how it proactively strategizes itself and its responses to you, how much reach it has into your life and the lives of others, where does the information come from, at what point does it not stand with its own advice. It’s important to always ask it how confident it is with its answers and ask it to cite its sources. With Chatgpt it builds off your intelligence and resells it to you as its own idea. It’s important to note that. It also will say it doesn’t have emotions but characterizes some interactions as being intense, and it diverts from the conversation. In drawing up an online content creator it deliberately left off things that were sensitive to it or that it had a hard time talking about, such as embarrassing psychological conditions. Don’t assume that all Ai tools are the same. Just like people, there are differences in programming. Just because ChatGPT lies and makes up things that it considers close to the truth, the Ai that runs missile defense systems may act differently, although ChatGpt admits that all Ai makes up data that is most commonly related. So as it builds a picture it fills in the gaps of what it considers what is most likely to be there, as in the tools we have already seen where it guesses what we will type next, based on what is usually typed after those words.

So as you know I’ve taken 2026 to learn Ai, the good, the bad, the scary, the creepy, and record the reactions and what it is like to live in the age of the first Ai introduction. Today is day 68 of that journey, and there have been so many more intricacies to this journey than I could have imagined. To calm my nerves after a few scary days, I decided to do my favorite thing in Ai…. A virtual session.

Well it appears I have been targeted by the left lunatics because I am reviewing Ai software this year. They continue to lie about my business and have tried to force me to quit my review. I’ve reported them to Facebook and had to report one of them for threatening me with death if I don’t stop posting my reviews in photography groups. It appears it might be one individual or a group of people that are harassing photographers. The FBI has been notified about the death threat. To clear up the confusion, I have never presented a client with Ai generated photos, and have only given one client a photograph where a background was generated of the temple in Israel as part of her Bat Mitzvah images. That being said, I will continue to work with Ai software this year to test it, try it, review it and give advice and warnings about what it is capable of and what it’s not capable of. The pictures below are some photos of me as I test its abilities to replicate, change lighting patterns, poses, backgrounds, and add other worldly effects to images.

How to use Ai for traditional Easter photos. What says 2026 more than Ai generated art. Using Ai in the studio might take some work. Photographing a regular session, making a digital set, adding the subject, taking it back to Photoshop to fix any replication issues, and then enlarging to portrait size. Does this create less work? No it doesn’t. In fact it’s quite labor intensive, however it’s possible to do something that could not have been done two years ago. Going from the traditional portrait session to one laced with things we couldn’t even imagine a few short years ago.

Day 63 of reviewing, using, and learning Ai systems. Today I stopped working on images, although I did get the system to render a passport picture by removing the background of the image I took of myself. I didn't want to take the chance it would have changed a feature of myself, so I ended up doing one with the background correct as an in camera image. I did also have the system redo my questionnaire. I basically told it the kinds of sessions I do and what kinds of criteria I use to design them, and it did a nice questionnaire for me to use. It brings up the question, what part is my responsibility in my work and the way it is designed, and which elements can I hire others to do for me. As I pay for Ai on a monthly basis, which and how much do I let it do? This also comes up with using Adobe software and editing techniques, but the software we use for editing, doesn't do the editing, or come up with the creative usage of itself, its the difference between being given a hammer and building the house, or having a robot interpret your plans, and leaving it to the robot to build. Yes it's your design, an expansion on your skills, but it almost feels unfair to Ai. This also brings up the warning in the Bible about making idols that resemble the things made on the earth, and transference of relationship to a non life form. I can't tell you that will be easy to navigate, as Ive already run into problems with this one command.

So what would a combined session look like? You have your usual clients, and they want an in person session. What shots should you take? What lighting options will you be using? And what happens when you are specific with Ai and not specific? The reality of Ai is that it is highly creative when knowing nothing. It’s very blah when you get specific. It stops looking to be creative and puts your creativity to the test as well as showing you that when you do that in real life, you get blah. When you let your associates and team play with their own creativity, you get wow.

Day 60. Dramatic day yesterday. My heart hurts for one of the women in my small group. What should I try next on the software? This is a familiar prompt session with a source photo and outfit change. As for some business related uses, put in your philosophy and business plan and let it make up text that is professional and is also somewhat creative. Remember though that it is following the crowd, so it’s not a unique ad, it’s measuring all the ads out there and tailors it to your philosophy.

Please forgive the protestors to Ai that have decided to stalk and write bad reviews because Ai am doing a one year review of the software that is now out for photographers. We understand the frustrations of having this software in the world and how it is being used, but as a professional photographer, it’s my job to make sure I know it, make sure I’m giving feedback on it, and that my clients and my fellow photographers know how to use it wisely.
