Farewell, August. šŸ¤

I canā€™t help but look back at where I was this time last year and feel so much appreciation for how far Iā€™ve come.
This was somehow one of my favorite summers with my kids, while also being one of the most stressful deep down. There was so much pressure I put on myself to make the memories, soak up the summer, and give them the childhood they deserveā€¦ all while quietly carrying the weight of juggling so much of it on my own.
There was fear of the unknown, a lot of figuring things out as I went, sometimes not feeling like I could even physically or emotionally keep going, and getting a dose of what our new normal looks like.
šŸŒˆBut somewhere in the middle of all of it, we laughed. We made memories. We had a really good summer.
And I think Iā€™m leaving August/Summer realizing that maybe our new normal doesnā€™t have to look anything like the old one to still be beautiful šŸ¤ I know next August will be even better.

Some parents love the full setup, theme + cake. Others want something simple and timeless that focuses completely on their baby.
And you can always do both ā€¦ beautiful milestone portraits first, followed by a little cake fun at the end. šŸ§
The most important part is documenting who they are at ONE the tiny details, big personality, and expressions you never want to forget.

Because the cake is funā€¦ but turning ONE is the reason for the session. šŸ¤

Thereā€™s something so special about getting to recreate a favorite pose as a family grows, but seeing all three of these little girls side by side might be my favorite part yet.
From photographing each of them as brand new babiesā€¦ to now watching the two biggest sisters love on the newest little addition. šŸ„¹
And somehow, all three of these sweet girls are still under 4. šŸ¤

One day, they wonā€™t remember life without each other.

Right now, though?
One is still so little.
Still wanting to be held.
Still needing extra cuddles.
Still learning what it means to share mom and dad.

And then suddenly, thereā€™s a tiny new person to love.

The beginning of a sibling relationship is such a beautiful mix of curiosity, pride, gentleness, and big emotions. These are the photographs that become priceless.

Because someday theyā€™ll be running through the house together, sharing secrets, fighting over toys, and making memories youā€™ll wish you could slow down. But these moments?
These are where their story begins.
The very first chapter of a lifetime best friend.
And that chapter deserves to be remembered forever. šŸ¤
