Based in Fox Lake, IL - serving couples & families across McHenry & Lake Counties, Northern IL, Chicago, Lake Geneva, & Southern WI. My name is Meg, and I’m a photographer in Fox Lake, IL. Ever since I can remember I’ve been interested in art; music, painting, scrapbooking, writing. But it wasn't until I visited Chicago one weekend in 2008 that I discovered my passion for photography. I innocently

snapped a photo of the old Navy Pier Ferris wheel on my point-and-shoot camera. That photo (shown to the left) became my inspiration.

I've always been fascinated that a simple photo, a single moment captured in time, can tell a story. You can feel for it. It is not just looking and seeing with photography, it is something much more. So in September 2015, I decided to start exploring freelance photography for myself. It is with my work that I wish to be able to pass along these experiences, emotions and memories to others.

Since starting my journey in photography, I have grown so much as an artist and person. My first year, I was published in three different publications. In the spring of my second year, I started my 1 of One Diversity Project, which has given me the opportunity to meet and communicate with people from around the world. In October 2017, my photograph, "Vulnerability", was chosen to be displayed at the 4th Fridays Grand Finale at the Starline Factory, where my piece sold, won an Honorable Mention Award and the People's Choice Award. Each year becomes the best year yet, so I cannot wait for year three!

My 2027 wedding calendar is officially starting to fill up, and it’s so surreal seeing dates already being claimed for next year. 🤍

I know it feels VERY early to be thinking about 2027, but if you already have your date picked out, this is actually a great time to reach out especially if you have one of those prime Saturday dates in mind. I’d hate for you to wait until next year only to find out I’m already doing my favorite thing with someone else that weekend. 😉
