When you realize it's only Tuesday...

Hahaha Great Danes make some of the best sad faces! This one really sums up his "unimpressed" 'tude. 😂 He was so over my antics and noises. Photographers dog syndrome all the way!
Side note, I'm LOVING playing with angles in different urban locations. The variety of textures and colors really adds great contrast to the photos.

Its Makeover Monday! Today's before and after is fun season switch!

The original was taken during a session in october, while everything was still green and lush. But to me, with that soft winter coat coming in, this photograh was just begging for a winter edit.

Urban sessions are so much fun!
This is a great before and after too (swipe). We caught a special moment, a perfect head tilt, before our camera settings were ready. It wasnt something we could recreate. Instead we rescued it and used it to make a special piece of art.
A wonderful example of one of the things that makes professional pet photography special. You arent just hiring a fancy camera, you are getting an artist's ability to create!

Greetings from behind the lens! My name is Destiny, and I'm the resident treat tossing, toy squeaking, belly rub giving, fur fluffing, scale smoothing, pet paparazzi. Or photographer for short. And this is my service dog and live in model, Knightly.

As a life long animal lover, equestrian, dog trainer, artist, and portrait photographer, I've been fortunate enough to combine all of my experiences and passions into one very rewarding career. Capturing animals great and small, of every kind.

At Ark Animal Photography we offer a variety of sessions in multiple settings. Capturing large animals in a zoo setting, takes skill, a special touch, that extra something that you just cant quite label.... Ok ok, I have a secret weapon... my service dog! My medical alert dog, grabs the attention of every single animal. Giving me the chance to get the shot hahaha. There, the truth comes out. No special magic, just a dog attached to my hip! We always joke that the two of us should offer photo tours. This beautiful lioness was just watching her.

We love visiting The Lincoln Park Zoo, and this gorgeous lady is a resident there. Although she's currently visiting another zoo while her habitat is renovated, and we cant wait until she comes back, check out the plans for the new area! They will include a behind the scenes area, and some up close viewing. I absolutely can't wait to see it finished!
